  1. I need some too, its quite a change in all the charts. Still can change the other way again aswell..........I need staws to clutch at. The cold still comes in sowho knows
  2. Yeh saw that as it developed. The fact of the matter is that none of us really care if it snows in London for example. You would not give up your own snow just cause they never got any, but as humans, people should at least have some respect for each other. We all share a common intrest and its a UK thread. Rant over. Trust me difficult not to use slightly more colourful words but shall not lower myself
  3. THe horror is thats 2 days of charts simply for drooling on...........and sooner or later there will be the downgrade chart and Mondy will have to "post the pram" again. But yes, I too am dreaming of streamers, convective snow, frontal snow...........
  4. Fab summary...........all the things we want to hear. Its nearly close enough to start getting excited.
  5. From these charts, the east coast of Scotland will take its fair share too.
  6. OMG...........too good to be true. UKMO 12z run is very good too. Possible even better as more easterly from slightly earlier. MTM???........hopefully another amusing abreviation
  7. You have opened the flood gates there, but I shall resist the amusing pictures and one liners
  8. A true NE is OK for most of us, but it needs to be very slightly off the sea, but anything to the north of that is a TOORPing disaster for most in Dundee, Edinburgh ect. NE Scotland, the far North and extreme SE get away with it
  9. With out wanting to put any spoils on the POSSIBLE upcomming cold spell, it looks to me to be developing into a Northerly outbreak, not Easterly. I am sure yesterday this was starting as a South Easterly, then it went East and now its North (perhaps North East??). Great snow potential for Aberdeen and North Highland but for us to the south of that............... Does still look just to the east of north..........fingers crossed!! Actually GSF brings it in like that but UKMO still has the SE going Easterly............so I will just shut up
  10. Good evening SS........welcome back. Have you had the chance to see the delightful eveolution of charts from today. Still a few days away...........but well I will let you decide. Enjoy
  11. If that easterly does come off as per the models.........TOORP the holiday Some of you must be getting snow looking at the radar
  12. Its too good to be true...........dream runs Everything crossed
  13. Please tell me you got something from it, or I am going to cry. On a more positive note, although FI, UKMO has done a U-turn on its charts. Toys may remain in pram till 2130, or 1830 if ECM blows them out
  14. Yeh I was kinda hoping!! But the jist of it is cold, which is good. Will be fascinating watching the models run today and the next couple of days
  15. The general idea of this sounds OK for most of us. Not the extent of GSF, but not too bad UK Outlook for Monday 8 Feb 2010 to Wednesday 17 Feb 2010: Mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with hill snow in the north at first. Brighter conditions with showers, some heavy, in the south and west, then following. The rest of the week remains unsettled with bands of rain spreading in from the southwest and turning to sleet and snow at times across northern, eastern and central parts. Some showers and brighter spells, between these bands of rain, temperatures close to or a little below average in many areas. For the rest of the period there is a large degree of uncertainty in the forecast, but it looks likely that unsettled, rather cold conditions will continue, with rain, sleet and snow at times, temperatures below average with overnight frost and ice. 16. Perhaps a clue that UKMO arent buying it. Looks like they still with SW influence. Cold, yes possible, but the easterly of GSF UK Outlook for Monday 8 Feb 2010 to Wednesday 17 Feb 2010: Mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with hill snow in the north at first. 17. Yeh it looks better now. The second band you refered to seems to have joined it and it looks good. Glasgow and such areas may do fairly well from it.
  18. Nothing more sure.....as CMD said........toys everywhere 4.30. The last rediculous cold run the other day was only about a week out aswell. High cloud spilling across here now ahead of tonights front.
  19. There is no such thing as too cold and snowey for me A cm of slushy snow makes me happy. By the way the MT is about to break!!!!!!!!!!! That is some run and it start in less than a week. Getting close to OK time frame..........please agree UKMO.........be your best friend!! As long as you only look at the models every 2 and a half days, then every run will be cold
