  1. Mate I share your frustrations 2.

friday evening all the heavy showers missed me leaving me with a patchy 1" covering, while just ten miles away in pately bridge they recieved 7/8 inches. We was suppost to get 2-4" saturday night, I lost 1" laugh.gif .Then on sunday morning they were predicting 2-8 inches, we got nothing apart from 1 inch monday morning.

But some areas havent got anything so cant complain really and it has been fun model watching smile.gif

it has i suppose and nice for some snow. but other areas like you say around us have been pasted and they then get even more and it just doesnt seem fair!! i cnt see next week coming off.it needs to intense up now if we have a chance like it was forecast but they got it wrong!! sak them and put us in and typical when places like reading etc were forecast light patchy snow and they ended up getting hammered!!typical

  2. guys i dnt wana sound annoying but plz does this not frustrate you!! look at the predicted precipitation charts on metoffice website and precip type and the both show heay snow for pennine areas and less further east but its the complete opposite! its unbelivable, and the way the charts are going leeds will have no snow because look at tht shield taking effect!! wht a let down!! how cum other places in the world dnt get let dwns such as new yrk etc!!i wouldnt call this a severe cold spell.here in shadwell we had more last feb!!

  3. Precipitation was never forecast to intensify as it progresses northward. As it encounters the cold air so it will fade, and move n/e.smile.gif Lots of oppertunities left thoughbiggrin.gif

actually it was because the forecasts had it weakening over the central midlands and then intensifying over north midlands and northern england hence the 5-10cm and persistant snow forecast but it seems not!! I'm sorry but no need for any weather warnings west of A1.

  4. well there we go again! just typical-dnt knw why i bother. Losing all its intensity for areas west of the A1 and become much much lighter as the real heavy stuff goes to the east yet again! so much for 5-10cm,atrocious conditions,3hours of snow etc. I think this area are owed something decent after the recent let dwns here!! oh well heading towards another non event -same old same old

  5. i know it is not the model thread, but i have to say this region could see some extreme snow and blizzards next week if the models are correct. its not just the extreme weather, but it would be the amount of snow we have had, especially for here. its something what could be an absolute shocker compared to the brilliant snow we had on sunday, it would dwarf what we had.

if only we had the technology that would make happen what shows on the charts or have i said that wrong lol

  6. Looking at tonight I would say from Doncaster to York Eastwards I would say a wintry mixture, rain at the coasts, inland, cities such as Leeds/Bradford/Harrogate/Huddersfield will see snow. Places in South Yorkshire such as Sheffield are likely to see rain turning to snow.

you sure sound confident!!would be amazing but i just have tht funny feeling of being let down again!! do you think they will keep there intensity or just become light and patchy which is wht i'm worried about. dont need another let dwn like sat eves snow!

  7. why is it you can never get excited!! let me just warn you all to keep your excitement in for a while because while tht new meto radar is incredible i have seen so many times the weather warnings come out for our area just for them not to follow through! i was starting to get excited about a possible 5-10cm when the latest forecast on the bbc news channel said a possible 2cm by morning!! frost is deeper than tht!!!!!!! so steady tigers

  8. just been snowing heavy here for the last 30-40mins too!! added nicely to the already existing snow!! latest bbc charts look very good indeed!! hopefully the snow showers later tonight will track through to us again!! and looks good for tomorrow night however just a bit worried about paul hudson mentioning freezing rain because tht stuff is boring n pointless!! any thoughts on snow later tonight??as there seems to be no more snow within the radar area
