  1. Everythings back to cyrstal white. I wonder if we could hit the 2cm jackpot? EDIT: Whoops already got there. I wonder if we could hit the 3cm jackpot?
  2. I'd say that the band of precip I pointed out earler will get to us in Halesowen and Stourbridge in about an hour, and will last just shy of an hour.
  3. I think it's now heavy enough to start accumulating again here.
  4. It's the strangest sight out here. Light snow, all the horrible slush has somehow gone, but all of the white snow still rests perfectly, giving the image of huge gaping holes in the middle of the road!
  5. Time for "The Business - Part 3: This time it's personal" (Don't forget that there's slight drifting from the north-east)
  6. Oh no we're all doomed now.! Quick! Clear out the supermarkets, it's gonna be the big one! On a lighter note, light snow here.
  7. I've been out to get some food - how can half a cm of snow reduce my previously safe road to a death trap?!? If that lot to the east carries on may get another half a cm.
  8. Nah, i'm pretty sure it won't hit me. It's like trying to watch darts. Dunno where it's gonna hit!
  9. Very light snow now here, but it may soon be time for 'business - take 2' in Halesowen and Stourbridge. The precip has taken a slight north west movement change recently.
  10. I declare this day a success in Halesowen, as the car that was clean of snow now has a fresh covering of 1 cm! (tbh, that was all I am expecting today, anything more now is a bonus.)
  11. Well, I thought it was just a tad odd. Either way, it makes thing a slight bit more exiting. I still don't know where it came from... I suppose it proves that these heavy bursts really will come out of nowhere. If this gets here I'll be in business (albeit light business):
  12. Well, I am quite high up on a hill, and it's gone back to light, still sticking slowly though. If this carries on I may have a grand total of 1 cm by 9pm.
  13. Oh my lord, I was about to give up hope and i've just looked outside and it's quite heavy out there! Where has this come from? It's even starting to stick on some cars that's left water from thawed ice... EDIT: Slowed back to moderate now but it's left quite a noticeable dusting practically everywhere...
  14. Quite nice light/moderate snow falling here... the thaw (if it's happening) is going very slow, since there's still quite alot of snow of the roofs opposite me. They're usually the first to go.
  15. Don't know where it's come from but it's snowing here. Temp dropped to 0.3C!
  16. It's been trying to thaw here over the last 2 days, even at temps 'really' below 0C. The surfaces that have here are quite dry, it looks. But I don't think (at least around Halesowen) that it'll climb to 3C.
  17. I can pretty much guess what's in the last few pages so I won't look. But I wasn't expecting any snow untill late afternoon!
  18. I think my western part of Halesowen will do quite well. The incline of my main road is pretty much perpendicular to the way the snow will be falling (ie- sideways) and the high ground further east by the M5 (Mucklow Hill) will provide some good falls to blow over Halesowen.
  19. Don't forget the drifting, there looks to be a wind tommorrow that may effect things.
  20. I think they're forecasting it'll come from 'nowhere' like the showers on late tuesday did, except they'll grow in strength near the welsh border, the north midlands and the pennines later in the night. Bear in mind this is a vauge guess!
  21. Yes, we might be reaching the sweltering highs of 4C next Saturday! I'm sure people know this already, but 7 days out is a centuary in forecasting, especially in these cold conditions. The cold's always all to play for.
  22. Especially if that gospel includes the phrase "It's snowman time"
  23. I know, I just felt a bit of pessimism floating about around here. Still, I have no clue what exactly's going to happen, no one else knows, it'll be 'cross your fingers and hope for the best' time soon.
  24. Just noticed Met Monkey's snow risk picture: Second picture down: http://null.co.uk/?page_id=2 Put the South Midlands up to 5cm and the North Midlands up to 10cm!
  25. That's the 'so called' 1st Atlantic Fail, and as current it probably won't smash straight into the mids. But there's always hope...
