  3. Agree with that, if you want to discuss the models why cant we discuss them, thats what weather forcasters do! you dont have to listen to what the models are saying as gospel on the other hand people saying armageddon stuff should be ignored. i come here to discuss models for south east region, not to ramp or be ramped to.
  4. i dont agree with any of the doomsdayers either, but i think that our region will see more snow from that then we will from todays showers, gfs ecm have shown this for last few runs, so dont see it being into FI have a llom at the possible snow depts on thursday it is more to the central south regions but aslo afects the south east
  5. Cant belive no1 is mentionng the Latest Gfs models they are great for our region especially for those on the south coast. as i was saing yesterday from tuesday evening rght the way to thursday the south east could see alot of snow. this is not into FI this is 48-72 hours away have a look at the charts. i know GFS is not the best model for ppcn but its not bad, people cant look at these and say its going be a dry week? what basis do you have?
  6. Firstly, hopefully people come on here because you love weather, i look at looking at models wether ecm or gfs as watching a horse race, your horse my start out in front but that dont mean its going to win. charts constantly change secondly, although the main ppcn event keeps getting moved back from tuesday to looking like friday now, inbetween then we will have snow in most places, you have to watch the radars and meto charts. looking at gfs from tuesday night till thursday we could see quite a bit of snow, so just keep looking at the radars/
  7. we have a great chance for some significant snow from tuesday eve to thurs morning, which is not into FI latest GFS upgraded our ppc.
  8. look at the latest GFS its moved the heavy ppcn from tuesday night to thursday more south east, with some heavy looking ppcn on the south coast, yess including brighton http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=nwdc;sess= from t+78
  9. Looking at the latest ecmwf it is much more of a northly n/e tly each time the gfs or ecm run their models they push back when the easterlies arrive if they do. looking like snow risk will more further north and not in our region :-(

  11. looking at the forcast for the middle end of the week weatheronline sums up nicley Snow for most of the country, especially in the southeast The cold weather stays with us throughout the coming week. There will be bands of cloud and snow slipping southwards at times. The main threats are going to be Tuesday through early Wednesday for much of the country, and then increasingly across southeast England through Thursday and Friday when significant falls could occur. Wednesday 6/1/10 Cold throughout the day. There will be some sunny spells around, the best of them ton the west. Low pressure in the North Sea will be continuing to feed snow showers onto eastern coasts. Highs around 1 to 5C. Thursday 7/1/10 The threat of a more significant snowfall through East Anglia, the eastern Midlands and southeast England overnight and into Thursday. This could give several centimetres of snow in places. Still snow showers on eastern coasts of Scotland, as well as Northern Ireland. The best of any sunshine again in the west. Cold with temperatures at 0 to 3C. Friday 8/1/10 East Anglia and southeast England are again at risk of some snow through the early part of the day, although this tending to fade away. Cold and dry to the north and west with the best of any sunshine here. Highs around 1 to 5C. Saturday 9/1/10 High pressure is expected to build through much of the country today. This brings a severe frost for the morning, but also some fine, sunny weather for many during the day. The threat still of a snow showers in the southeast. Highs of 0 to 4C.
