I'm heading off in half an hour or so- info any traffic problems between Tenby and Swansea would be much appreciated- seriously!
We've had a bit of snow here today, but east of here looks to have taken a beating.
Are conditions in Swansea football match cancelling bad?
Quite unrelenting here ATM about 2 mins from stadium, although unsure what main roads are like, hope you get here safe

Is it wet snow with big flakes or very fine snow with you guys? its very fine here really really small flakes and only settling in certain areas as flakes are so small, have never seen such fine flakes it looks almost as if its raining but tiny snow flakes :S

Swansea has been the sweet spot just look at the radar
Is there more likely today, don't fancy taking kids to school then having to drive up that blinking hill to morriston comp to collect them if they decide to close

Just drove from morriston -> Swansea marina and back, started as rain in Swansea (possibly light sleet) but much heavier sleet in morriston (fingers crossed )

Its pivoting PP in the S W will will slowly N east the wave is forming heaviest snow until 10am continue"s light after that for many hrs .So sit back and enjoy!
Still ok for us then ATM , met o updated forecast @5 and says heavy snow for us till 12

Does anyone know why the met office haven't seperated the red from amber warnings, I thought that for those people in the red area would receive more precise information

Frustrating - the Met site has changed things to sleet to Cardiff between 9am and 3pm tomorrow!
Just saw that, same for Swansea, although don't know if you noticed it said updated Wednesday !!!!!! Think we may have broke the met office
And it includes Wednesdays forecast

I've got an exam tomorrow at Cardiff Uni. Was going to cycle there but probably safer to walk by looks of things :/
Worth keeping an eye for updates from them especially if Swansea have already made that decision

My son disappointed Llangranog trip has been cancelled and their headmaster has said school regardless of snow ........ Yea right !

Luckily I did my fortnightly shop the other day so I don't have to buy any extra , just plod my way through what I've already got. However, son is supposed to go on a school trip to llangranog tomorrow ( which I suspect will be postponed ) so out and about getting him stuff incase the snow fails
a funny thing happened 3 sledges fell into my hand ........ hoping to ease his disappointment in the morning with a new sledge. Super mum ;) -

How many member on here rmember the snow in '82 and how bad it was?
I was 8 back then but I can rmember local kids riding their bikes acvross roath park lake and the radio station (then cbc thats a blast from the past) were telling everyone not to do it due to the danger lol
I was a little kid too, I remember drifts far taller than me and snow covering our down stairs windows. Also our small town in Gwynedd was cut off completely and they air lifted some supplies in for the local residential home ( a point I found out years later whilst working in said home) I on the other hand remember burrowing into the drifts and making our forts to defend against the older kids and the diggers trying to shovel the stuff out the way ......making even bigger forts...... Happy days
