Decided to head down the coast to watch the storms in the channel. Flickers of lightning every 3-5 seconds, with just the occasional distant cg to be seen along with faint, distant thunder.
Much better than trying to sleep in this heat amd hopefully just a starter

Just got in from a great chase between Hastings - Dungeness. Started along Hastings seafront watching distant cg's out to sea and headed east as new cells fired on the eastern side. Some wonderfully vivid blue bolts as I drove eastwards before stopping at Dungeness where I heard what I believe was hail roar for the first time! As the cell hit hail 1-1.5cm bounced around me with close cg's and booming thunder. Some awesome skies around this morning, the colours and textures were incredible.

Lovely little storm here. Small hail, gusty winds and around a dozen claps of thunder so far

Occasional rumbles of thunder over the past 20 minutes along with some gusty winds.
Fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long for some big summer storms to come our way!- 2

Storms fading away from my area now. Lasted a good 2 and a half hours, a nice bonus on top of the storms yesterday evening

Whereabouts are you Ryan? On mobile at the moment so can’t see locations
Moving about between camber and dungeness.
Very strong winds right now, must be close to 50mph.

Distant thunder just heard.
And another flash and deep rumble

4 hours of thunder and lightning - pretty frequent at times, pea sized hail, flooded roads and a medium sized tree down across the road. It wasn't a bust everywhere, though a lot less widespread than first expected.
Still a few warm months left of the year yet, folks!- 2

I've enjoyed today's storms just as much as last weeks! Not the constant flashing, but still multiple strikes per minute and the thunder has been far superior. Certainly another memorable event, personally.
Some awesome cloudscape as sun rose and now enjoying vivid lilac cg's from the southern cell which is just coming ashore

Not the best storm for lightning viewing, but a lot of it is being masked by the low cloud, mist and rain. However, this thunder is really making up for it!
Finally a flash of lightning which has lit up some structure, and wow! A huge pronounced shelf cloud just out to sea - will likely bring some fairly gusty winds with it

Currently in Hastings. Lots of low cloud and mist out to sea with the occasional flicker of light. The rumbles of thunder are great, real deep and lasting forever

Been out since 10pm last night. Watched lightning from when I left right through to 4am. Came across a small tree down along with several medium sized branches - winds were pretty gusty on the leading edge of the first storm. Also a small landslide, leaving a couple of large rocks in the road. A brief break and the next storm is nearing once more

Several rumbles heard here over the past hour. Heavy rain just starting.

Absolutely crazy rain in Appledore, Kent. Roads turned into muddy torrents. Radar suggests 2-3 inches fallen in the past hour!
Several flashes and rumbles of thunder to go with it.

Currently sat in Dungeness, Kent. Plenty of CG's to be seen, although it's still fairly distant. Closer bolts lighting up the clouds In the cells developing on the eastern side.
Also some fairly strong, refreshing winds when a weak shelf cloud came over a while back.
