as long as the pay off is hot summers and thunderstorms then I am ok with it,
TWOweather just tweeted it's going to be a cold and wet July... how they know that I don't know!

So the fat lady waddles onto the stage, and burst out her last song. That's it folks, Winter is over 'according' to the MAD thread.
AGAIN?! Winter must have been 'over' at least 6 times this year already

Still 7.5°C here!
-
Looks like the temps have maxed out now at 9°C.... they better get dropping soon!
-
Heh the netweather radar is not having a good day. 10:00 LOADS of rain, 10:10 LOADS of rain, 10:15 onwards few tiny specks of rain. I did manage to get a 10:45 image just now but it's gone again.
-
Netweather and raintoday radars haven't updated since 10am - any ideas why?
Rainalarm seems OK
-
Pressure's been dropping by 2mb/Hr all morning, rain can't be far away.
-
I can turn the car headlights on from the key fob from indoors while it's on the drive... Might have to resort to that! How do we lamppost watch with the lights turn off, anyone?
-
Ooh if it does snow then with the street lights turning off there won't be the standard eerie orange glow to the world like normal.
Come on you white stuff
-
I made a comment on our local Facebook page about seeing the night sky in its glory once our lights turn off and I was just moaned at... think it might be tonight they start turning off actually.

And done. I knew it'd split apart and the worst would miss me
-
Rain coming in all directions - good test for my CCTV camera's waterproofness! Getting proper windy and I can hear the rain on the conservatory roof from the other side of the house.
Still no thunder... the proper dark reds on the radar might miss me
-
Ooh rain's starting here - seems to have a extra line of rain along the Thames Estuary just reaching here now. I want some thunder and lightning please!

Yep, as evidenced in the game of golf - you can hit the ball further in summer than you can in winter.
And cars run better in winter as there's more oxygen in cold dense air.

The hail from yesterday afternoon is still sitting on the cars and grass around home. Makes it feel like winter

Home now and the car's still covered in the sleet/hail. Shame I missed it! Feels rather cold out now.
There's rain, snow, freezing rain, hail, the lot on the radar - just a shame it's quite far to the North West... come down here - we want you more than they do!!

Hail storm at home at the moment according to my CCTV!
Classic on the Victoria tube line - someone's poured fast setting cement into the control room!

Well that rain gave a little over 8mm... Looks like another shower or two possible but then clear for the rest of the day?
-
I would be interested, it was the year my dad told me he walked on ice floes on the sea at Southend, I've since seen photos online which prove he could have done.
That wuold be amazing. I'm sure I remember the edge of the sea freezing at one point as a kid. Maybe I'm dreaming it. I remember the playground totally freezing over at St Helens in the 80's though when I was there.
6mm rain in under half hour at home...
-
Started raining at home now and I can see it on my CCTV so it must be quite heavy.
-
so we are all joint first...can't complain about that lol
We are also all joint last!
