  1. The last of the storms have just left Great Yarmouth Bish we had no chance of seeing anything here in the Midlands, even the South and East must be disappointed with the outcome. Anyway more lovely sunshine for us here in the Midlands, well a touch more cloudy this afternoon but who cares Dry & Fine that's going to be the main theme for next several days now
  2. Maxed out at 22.1c today and still at 19.3c it will be humid tonight min of 15c-16c here. what a difference from just a few days ago......Very heavy rain, a howling winds & single figure temps!!! All in the past now, what a great day it's been

  6. When i call my family in OZ it's just an ILLUSION because I'm not looking at it, but i know it's real ! At the quantum level reality tells me that the family is on the other end of the line
  7. Weather is certainly interesting this evening, rain lashing against the windows with strong winds for this time of the year, then again it could be worst..... it could be SUNDAY
  8. 80-90 KMH gusts = 55MPH come late evening!!! this time of the year with trees in full leaf....
  9. The 90's there were some good storms but I feel there are fewer lightning storms in the UK than there were in my youth in the 80s but then again the frequency of thunderstorms doesn't vary much over the years. However, the frequency does vary across different parts of the country. So, if you have moved to an area of lower incidence (chart below) that would be one explanation for the sense of them being less frequent. But i recall some Spectacular night lightning during the mid 80's and the sultry nights that go with it, that's one thing i don't like.
  10. 63mm here, the 3rd being the wettest with around 15mm falling on that day. For June I'm hoping for lots of thundery activity and plenty of Spectacular night lightning.....come on we can all live in hope
