  1. Don't you mean.... WASHOUT!!!!!!!! Currently a washout here and 3.9c ..... A thoroughly miserable day!
  2. Agreed Gord, and a thoroughly wet afternoon it's going to be, (Cold rain) ..... A day for sitting in front of the TV methinks. Tomorrow looks a lot more interesting! Snow Showers, but where?.... I'll have an eye on the radar for sure
  3. Same for all users I wonder if the Mods can see though.... just wondering
  4. Yes some nice beefy hail/sleet showers even snow for some and you can clearly see them on todays SAT image https://earthdata.nasa.gov/labs/worldview/
  5. Hope so, found more excitement watching this http://youtu.be/BrbYrO3VajA than the weather of late.
  6. Shrewsbury may get a glimmer of sunshine towards the end of the day but it's rain all the way for most of the Midlands. Then the skies will clear into the evening, giving a colder night of late and Tuesday certainty looks a lot brighter with plenty of sunshine to be had.
  7. On today's 12z GFS this time next-week could be interesting with the jet a lot further south and colder/cooler zonal flow bringing very unsettled weather to the UK As we know this winter has been frustrating for us snow lovers but next-week gives us some hope in finding something that resembles winter
  8. Must admit MIA the GFS is poor of late, Just 72hrs ago it had a deep low over Scandinavia on the 15th and now a high. And the ECM is so inconsistent recently it's changing on every run.... So who's to say what or where we will be in 5 to 10 days time.... Hopefully :cold: Today and Currently 3.6c.
  9. Couldn't agree more, but I'll have to be honest i like it getting dark in November because i know Winters on it's way :cold: But yes the lighter mornings... Me like
  10. Yes i did driving back from Castle Brom... just before 5 it was...(deep deep orange) Also driving down the M40 to wellsbourne this morning at 7:30 great sun rise, same again breathtaking
  11. What lovely day after the low cloud cleared this morning, Wall to Wall Sunshine, Felt again the same as yesterday....Spring like Always a bonus when the forecast is for dull crappy weather and Instead.... Blue, Blue and more Blue Costa Del Fal... hope it last for ya Currently 5.5c.
  12. Courtesy of.... http://www.monkspathweather.org.uk/skyscape-cam/time-lapse/hourly-time-lapse.html ......Just Down the road.....Boot-i-full
  13. Hi all, nice day to day in all, blue skies and a high of 9.2c felt very pleasant Although Feb still reminds us that we are in winter as temps are falling quickly now.. Currently at 2.4c
  14. Mad thing was.... It was all gone 4 days after
  15. The 9th of December 1990... Remember it well! just four day before we had HP slap bang over top of us and then one of the best ever snow storms i ever... well you know the rest or...OH! go on then if i must...6cm an hour fell across the Midlands, the winds reached gale force causing blizzard conditions and drifting snow. Many parts of the Midlands reported at least 20cm of level snow with birmingham itself depths were approaching 30cm..... ONE THE BEST EVER :cold:
  16. Well folks how much negativity around tonight... come on it's still early Feb "BIG plenty time" for things to change yet! Looking at the GEFS diagrams charts there's plenty of uncertainty after the 11th of Feb.... looks like they are not dealing to well with the HP in where it wants to go. The pick for me is Member no18 :cold: http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gefs_cartes.php Sorry wouldn't normally do the Mod thing, but my God you all need cheering up... just remember... IT'S ONLY THE 4th OF FEBRUARY !!! This is my Glass what's Yours
  17. The Fax charts back this up ( but mainly snow ) not sure of that!!! but looking at the chart, there's a lot going on and well... you never know we'll see when the update comes out later. ...Sorry! silly me forgot to add the chart The 12z Euro4 at noon for tomorrow as the PPN more towards the SE of our region and the 12z MMN's is even further SE. EDIT; Just seen the BBC weather and they have the PPN more in the east of our region at 9am and moving West.... So at this stage who knows
  18. Sorry that's hardly HI RES.... looks like my 4 year old daughter has blobbed it on with one of her paint brushes !!!! http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;sess= http://www.raintoday.co.uk/mobile these are much better
  19. It's the only thing that we can see coming from the East ATM, Arnie Pie.... Now't showing on the radar whats so ever
  20. I think Thursday looks more promising for showery activity as winds pick up and turn more into a Northeasterly and a fairly strong one at that, driving snow showers well inland. But a good 48hrs to go yet! but defo one to keep an eye on
  21. The 06z NMM's PPN charts are showing a wintry mix (more rain & sleet than snow) around teatime for the east of our region A few flurries come Weds morning, but one to keep an eye is later on weds... incoming from the N/E
  22. You've being drinking too much water...Can i have some
