Always remember a set up to what it is now, and the BBC were saying there's a chance of a Snow shower but only in the East of our region.
All i do remember it was teatime on a Saturday in the early 90's, anyway it started snowing and 4hrs later, 3" deep and the BBC still were still
Piping on saying there's a chance of a light shower.
By the time they'd updated the TV forecast and that was 5 hrs later from the first flake falling here in Birmingham.......the Snowman was already built
Damn bloody corrections!!! i was there and now I'm 0.3c out... Oh well!
Congrats, WEATHER26, WEATHER-HISTORY, SUMMER BLIZZARD, DUNCAN McALISTER, A WINTER'S TALE
Wolf this isn't Rubbish for Winter.... just average I'm the first with many on here that would love to see SNOW everyday & have sub zero temps with it,
but this is the UK's climate we live in ... Just sit back and enjoy what get's thrown at us by mother nature, but until we see SNOW ... ATM it's BRRRRR and I'm loving it
And toes I'm liking the sound of .......whilst conversely shower activity is likely to increase across other parts of eastern England,
with some 'snow showers being driven well inland at times'.
We live in hope that we may get something off the North sea in the form of showery activity come tomorrow going by the Euro4
Even weds may give us something you never know... we will see I'll catch up on the NMM'S later and let you know
If you think it's going/or expect it to snow everyday you must be in a lot of pain Chunky.
A good hard frost tonight It's better than a 12c Southwesterly ....Chill out Chunk
Come again Had to Google that one., 'Sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas phase without passing through the intermediate liquid phase'
Like i said " as soon as they hit the ground they disappeared"
Same here, Knowle & Dorridge never been but Bruteon Park yes!... been a few times only in the Summer though
Great sledging in my beloved elmdon, when the SNOW is here that is ....you'll have to try it one evening Bish
Looking fairly cold this week especially the nights with HARD FROSTS
Love to see scenes like this in the morning when going for an early walk in Elmdon Park
