  1. Yesterday evening the 18z was a good run and everybody was upbeat ( MOD THREAD) 12hrs later and doom not boom But let me rewind back a week and what was on offer for this coming Monday, no signs of HP over Scandinavia and a full on westerly. So when theres talk of no easterly and the Atlantic making it's self known again come a week from now...... You know how things can change very quickly!!! In one week from this TO THIS Another point as early as yesterday morning there was no talk at all of anything in the channel inwhich could now make it's way inland and as far as the SOUTH MIDLANDS if it does that is.....Finger crossed but this wasn't even predicted a day or so ago!!!! so who knows what might happen come next TUESDAY or even next FRIDAY?
  2. Can get too confusing, I blame the internet! What happened to the days when reading weather maps was so simple
  3. Your looking at too much detail in the MET'O weather maps! they do show at times HEAVY SNOW in say B'HAM then in SOLIHULL just CLOUD and say back to REDDITCH, HEAVY SNOW again. Just look at tomorrow morning the MET'O have a general idea that a band of more organized showers will cross the MIDLANDS and that snow will fall in most places But not all
  4. WRF NMM is now Showing a more organized band of SNOW for Saturday morning the same as the BBC is showing this morning
  5. For next week the models are really struggling, so how hell the are we supposed to see how things are going to pan out, I said this yesterday" I wouldn't fancy being the MET'O this weekend" ATM the GFS as big differences at 06z compared to 0z at even at 96h, and it will change again come 12z so regarding any PPN will it be east or west that see's best come the SNOW next week ?????... Don't worry too much about it at this stage!!! Within t24 looking at the WRF NMM tomorrow morning looks interesting, i will show the update soon as the 06z is still coming out But the Euro4 shows what the WRF NMM is all about......snow for Sat morning
  6. Might be a pub run, but what a lovely run it is..... Longer lasting and more SNOW & COLD The 0Z will be different but so will the 06z and the 12z and so on, as long it shows SNOW for next week.......i'll be
  7. Agreed, ILTS...... There's always the GFS PUB RUN http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php
  8. Noticed that myself, Just small amounts of PPN Saturday Morning and that's it for the weekend, clear frosty nights ahead though Let's hope next week's Snow doesn't disappear.....Fingers-crossed
  9. Theres going to be alot of towing and froing between all the models regarding PPN for the up and coming SNOW next week, wouldn't fancy being the Met Office over the weekend My biggest concern is the LOW (slider) being too far west and sinking over Ireland, better for cold but not for SNOW..... ATM best potential for snow since March 2013
  10. snow freak....It's a LOW thats incoming from the North/Northwest and slides ('slider') down the Uk South/Southeast But this one is a SNOW-LOW because theres cold air inplace on the east side of the LOW, inwhich = SNOW FOR THE UK
  11. This is what i mean come Tuesday..... All Subject to .........SLIDER HEAVEN
  12. snow freak; Saturday could be marginal or maybe nowt for some! the best chance of seeing proper SNOW will be early next week as the Cloud starts increasing on Monday/Tuesday with more Widespread snow into western parts later, this will be the one that'll be more UK Widespread than a few showers that may or may not come together to give us a covering on Saturday morning, but we will see. Keep The Faith
  13. Thats wright...... What makes you think or expecting that we was getting snow tomorrow or even tonight ? Saturday morning is the next stop for SNOW..... Maybe!!! that is
  14. Please take don't these as set in stone, but heres an idea of what we might expect Sat AM Cold weather alert issued for over the Weekend http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/cold-weather-alert/#?tab=coldWeatherAlert You image what it would be if it was RED (National Emergency)......Love i can't find the car
  15. Just got caught in a Heavy shower ( just rain i'm afraid ) the wind was really whipping up and still is.... Saturday morning is starting to look interesting as a marked trough is heading down from the NW that could deliver a covering of SNOW for some Some GEFS members are going for alot of PPN but as we all know with SNOW the finer details make all the difference. Just waiting for the lastest FAX charts to come out......It may lead to nothing but you never know..... One to keep an eye on
  16. Anybody have a link to the UKMO 850hpa temps, it seems there not available on Meteoceil or aren't they available any where...... full stop ?
  17. Be careful bish your starting to sound like 'ilovethesnow'
  18. 12 to18 HRS of heavy persistent SNOW next Mon/Tues showing on the 12z GFS, Starting Mon evening finishing Tues afternoon .........I'm in SNOW heaven http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?ech=6&code=0&mode=2 And for the UKMO..... DEFO CHART OF THE WINTER SO FAR
  19. Hi Guys N Gals Missed all the action on here yesterday evening, family duties i'm afraid it was for me last night but just read the last so many pages from last nights SHORT wintry event! Well it was for me and all that live around in the Solihull area...... Oh! well it was never going to be a snowmageddon event anyway Well not to worry Over the next seven days things are changing, starting from Friday evening we are looking at a very wintry outlook..... :cold: Daytime temps hardly above freezing, very hard frost during the evening & overnight and most of all SNOW Showers and more persistent SNOW at times BOOM! time Edit; nice to see you back, Ian Ballinger
  20. More & more to SNOW now, shame it won't last! eyes down to S/W Wales, for SNOW Showers later :cold: http://www.raintoday.co.uk/mobile Edit; Starting to Brighten up now........ Currently 2.3c
