Good morning to all in the Yorkshire thread-thankfully no apparent downgrades this morning, well not to my untrained eye. Can anyone shed any light on the meto local forecast. Meto don’t have particularly many snow symbols on the areas from say Hull to Sheffield. Appreciate we are under the yellow warning but the temperatures just look quite high on meto considering what you are showing on here. Also the beeb are the complete opposite and are showing several hours of snow here to Sheffield. It’s all very confusing and I want to plan for snowmaggedon and steal the neighbours kids. Obviously I cant go sledging on my own without looking a bit weird. My youngest was 8 in 2010 so he’s not really up for snow day anymore! Thoughts appreciated many thanks

Snow starved since 2010 so it’s our turn next. Yes I checked Hull on the bbc app earlier and we have some snow symbols for sun but Met office have us on a big fat zero! Time for change so I won’t throw my handbag just yet lol

Can East Yorkshire join in the fun this time? Or will we miss out again and get torrential rain! I’m not very confident to be honest, but time will tell.

I just noticed the met warnings and an amber for the soft southerners. I can just see tomorrow’s headlines! I also need to report that I have some snow symbols on the BBC. Now that’s a first lol. We shall see but I’m not holding out any hope. Freezing fog is just rolling in and my god it’s cold outside.

Evening all, hope you are all keeping well and COVID free. I am still waiting to see my first snow flake of the winter! Reading the mad thread it certainly doesn’t sound good for any country wide dumping of the white stuff. Would be nice if it snowed, especially if Boris locks us down this evening. I am more partial to summer and long warm evenings sitting outside......but prefer the snow to these dark horrible rainy days... it really doesn’t seem like a great start to 2021... thank heaven for sites like this, I enjoy the banter and of course the weather predictions. Has sausage posted this year? God that guy was so funny he made me chuckle to the point of crying at my screen. Stay safe, keep smiling and of course keep posting it passes the boredom.
