    Hear hear,the word 'Purbecks' last night was my possible saviour from this shambles and it's been cruelly taken away from us again Dread the day when my kids have grown up and I'm with them when they are about 18/20 and they see there 1st ever snow,their cheers of excitement will be well embarassing!!!

    Amazing isn't it? We are all used to so many setbacks now that we just sit there in the background ready to pounce on our neighbouring counties when and IF we ever get any of the darn stuff!!!!!!!!

    Ref Dorset peeps, Looks like I will be 1st on the hit list in sunny Corfe so will let you all know whether the Dorset force field is primed and ready for action deflecting the snow straight around us!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am in love with the weather forecasting Lady on tonights BBC South Today not only did she mention Dorset for snow she even narrowed it down to marginally more snowfall for the Purbecks in Dorset poss 10cm,my doorstep!!!!!!!!!!! .......... believe it when I see it!!!!!!!!! 18Z looks more like sleet

    I remeber last Feb as well,in exactly the same situatuion as you ages to get home and we were glued to the radar showing sleet when infact it was heavy snow,cheers for update,yet again we live in hope

    Hi all ,just in from work,internet down at my work so what's the story, see met office have upgraded to 80% snow for us,Has stayed pretty darn cold in the Poole area today real miserable with very light sleet,temp at 1430 only 0.5deg so i guess cold easterly 1 - 0 warm westerly. Am I in for another late nighter glued to NW?

    Play the radar back to 2000hrs then press latest,seems like everything is filling in and building up as it comes this way,not heavy in general but there definately,I'm desperate

    Is it me or is there a fairly large swathe of snow with a little bit of heavy stuff pushing in from NE looks like heading into Devon and may skim Dorset,fingers crossed

    Basically in plain English we are in the lap of the Gods for the whole week,constantly changing,huge battle of East and West fronts,rain,sleet,snow subject to change.The techs on this forum seem to be struggling with a very complex set of weather patterns some even saying they,ve seen nothing like it before,so who knows, sleep well or not it's going to be another white knuckle ride this week.

    We may laugh but just think the way we are going in years to come we could be telling our Grandchildren about the great winter of Dorset in 2010 when we had a huge 1cm of snow, if that S4 is yours by the way nice car but better leave that to another forum!
