First few small flakes of snow about half hour ago - gradually getting a little heavier and more persistent. Temp has gone down pretty quickly in last hour - was +3.3c for a while but now down to +1.7c and falling Just goes to show how in these situations, snow can pop up almost un-expectedly. Met Office warning just issues looks good for Kent so could be an interesting pm and eve.

Yes, very funny Coast Lovely wintry scene here - snow gently falling with hardly a breath of wind and laying instantly onto the frozen ground. Just a dusting but a total suprise. That's 3 days now where snow has fallen ( albeit just small amounts ) here this Dec so not a bad start to Winter. edit - snow stopped now but lovely whilst it lasted. -

Overcast Cold and Dank. Temp now up to +4c Looking forward to next week. I'd be very suprised if we dont see some snow but regardless of how much it should certainly be seasonal and a great start to winter. -

A few flakes in amongst the light rain here. Was snowing quite heavily about half an hour ago at top of Charing Hill and starting to settle - just shows what an extra 200ft or so elevation can do sometimes. temp here rising slowly now +2c -

Light flurry. Temp had dropped to -5.2 but now up a little to -3.9 since cloud moved in. Hope for a dusting to re-cover the cleared paths etc - getting greedy measured level 16cm on sun a.m and altho some melt on Mon there was v little thaw today with max temp of just -1.0c -
An occasional few flakes now rather than the earlier grapel. Temps have slowly crept up to +2.3c I see the model output forum has turned to the prozac - love peoples input and enthusiam in there and makes for ( usually ) enjoyable and interesting reading but my, I wish people would occasionally remember which country they live in with regards to winter expectations.

I almost feel guilty for saying this, but its still going here - its just dosent want to stop it seems !! Having measured a level depth of 29cm before lunch today, there must have been a good 5-7cm more since at least Is there anyone else from mid-kent anywhere nr here ( nr Lenham ) that can give provide an up to date temp... ?? My oregon has been saying temps have been around +0.3 to +1.0c all day and most of last night and yet the snow just builds and builds with no slow thaw at all - even early this morning when amazingly it wasnt snowing for an hour current temp showing as 0.8c which is an increase of half a degree in the last half hour
