Hmmmm.. Light snow in Luton, Kimpton and Redbourn, none here yet!
It is very light though in redbourn, suprised you not got anything. I think your phrase yesterday with baited breath is still what people are doing.

Very light snow here here nr Luton Airport. I have a gut feeling we are going to get more than we bargined for tonight/tom morn. Could be an interesting slide up the A6 to Bedford for work at 7 tomorrow!!
Not sure if I have had enough now or want more!!
Must admit still got fair bit from last fall. Just hoping for the ones that really want get...BIG HOPE THOUGH. see what happens.

I sort of feel brave
Tomorrow will be like today, cold and grey. Now based on several charts I think places in this region may get a covering Tuesday night into Wednesday, the further west you are the better. Any snow lying will be short lived by Friday, as temporary milder southerlies come in. Temps by the weekend reaching 6C. Indications are after this that colder weather could return, with High pressure returning, but it is a long way off to forecast that.
Well guess we all play the waiting game, see what happens tommorow and wednesday, then for the weekend, have a strong gut feeling though something going to change to alot colder weather and snow. I could be wrong.

least you guys possibly got something to look forward too..iv just given up the ghost here in Norwich 3half weeks of cold weather and poxy 2" of snow..what ever direction the snow comes in we get sweet fa...
Well i agree with giving up the ghost, but this has all ended rather unexpected, which gives me a feeling that something is going to happen from the big bad east, There is alot of mixed opinion through media etc. We still have a good 4 weeks minimum of hard winter. LOTS OF SNOW ???

Yes, interesting times ahead, a potential snow event for Wednesday has suddenly appeared with a frontal system moving slowly north, embedded in continental air, and preceding the warm-up to more average conditions for next weekend.
Uncertainty beyond the weekend with about 30% chance of a renewed cold easterly coming in.
I suppose its very hard at the moment to give out dead certs for the weather ahead.let alone now.

Evening all, just been reading a locked thread for 3 counties, they saying snow tonight, and thought it was mad for met o to downgrade all warnings for us, I actually agree. Even people at work claim that a radio station stated that the big thaw was on temps rising and cold and snow spell finished, MY a.se. Told them if anything its going to get alot worse by the end of the week. They dont believe me though..FOOLS.

I know this is aiming high, but what would the media be saying, if it turned out to be heavy snow showers over night, 5-8 cm when all warnings have been down graded or removed, even better if that 20cm landed.

The thing with uk weather is that no matter what technology and science say, mother nature can change it in minutes, and if im right we still have a least 6 weeks of winter to come

Well just watched bbc weather, this mild,ish interlude is going to be very short lived as the cold easterly really kicks back next thursday. Lot more snow forecast and cold temps.
Like the way they are saying that met office have severe warnings out from tuesday next week.
Still have a feeling that his cold front has a sting in it somewhere before that.
Anyone share the same opinion or ?????

Well the only ones that had a result due to the anti climax warning was places like asdas sainsburys, mayhem yesterday in fear of heavy snow. Me kids keep asking if there is any chance it will still snow tonight, not very optamistic at all now.

Forgive me if im wrong but on the bbc weather last sunday night,the weather man stated that this was going to happen then get pushed back out irelands way as the cold front from the east is like concrete, and that the really cold spell was going to continue.????
