    The only people that were warning of that were the likes of Powell, Madden and the express. Ed's forecast was very thorough. It may come to fruition and it may not, but it clearly took a lot of time and effort and I, like many am very appreciative of the efforts. It’s a forecast, it’s not meant to be taken as gospel but more of a guide of what might happen when one takes in all of the variables of modern forecasting practices. If you feel that way about LRF's, why did you come into this thread anyway?

    morni....Ok Afternoon all. That turned to 12 as im typing. Boring day here at work so need something entertaining to happen....plus im spending too much money on Amazon black friday rubbish that i really dont need but "have to buy it at that kind of discount"..... pretty dull out there, we need an injection of cold and snow to liven things up here....

    Morning Gang,a nice enough start to the week with no frost up my end (pardon?) A "quiet" week looking likely which TBH is most welcomed on the weather front. Amazon Black Friday week so probably not going to get much work done and spend way too much money....

    Morning all.... Mad thread yesterday = Winter is over, nothing interesting until the end of december possibly Jan too, GFS is right, ECM is wrong..     Morning all Wet, windy and pretty nasty, and thats just the wife!! The weather is pretty much the same to be honest. Im quite looking forward to some settled possibly sunny days....

    Hi all, Im off to Tenerife on the 17th December (a long way off i know) but im trying to get an idea of the temps at this time of year. The sites on the net are confusing at best as some are suggesting temps this week/Next week of 23/25 and the likes of the BBC are saying around 19....Obviously a big difference and im not sure if they measure this in the shade or take the whole island as an average. The north is usually colder than the south (and im going to the south).....any one have any idea on what we would normally be looking at and what to pack lol? t thanks L

    Very chilly out there this morning with the wind making it feel more so. Had to scrape the car and then it started raining...Damp in town this morning and pretty miserable. I feel like doing what Mr Pegg has suggested below until the snow arrives....

    Ok so that was a silly thing to do.....Im back already. What ive gained is that the GFS is right the ECM is wrong and everyone is saying that its cut and dry! Oh man, it amazes me sometimes. They are talking about things happening in 2 weeks time like they have already happened. Why is the GFS right for something that hasnt happened yet? I just dont get it Why is each run taken as gospel. The ECM is wrong, GFS is right....dear oh dear

    Morning folks, Chilly this morning and I did have to scrape the car window (it was 5:30am)..... Although im not expecting anything on the snow front at the moment, a clear, crisp morning is certainly more welcome than the wet grey rubbish we have had lately....love this seasonal weather..... Im going to do it.....Im popping into the Mad thread to see whats going on....if im not back in half an hour.....Call an ambulance!!!

    Chilly round the chesnuts this morning!!! The weekend is looking dry enough which bodes well for my bootsale.....No surprise that the models are pushing things back a touch but it could just be a wobble....things may be clearer as each run comes out today but im still holding on getting excited until the weekend models show thier hand. have a good day x

    Morning all, A lovely crisp morning albeit a little breezy. Lots of moaning in the mad thread already. Im sure it wont be long until the winter is over posts start showing as they always do at this time of year.... I working at my bootsale on Sunday morning (4am start) so I will be waiting for the fax updates later to see how im going to fare. Looking at the GFS it looks "ok" for now....have a good day you lot

    It is really scary....I Fly off to Tenerife on the 17th December for christmas. The first time ive been abroad for over 5 years....So looking forward to it, but ive no idea how warm it will be....Anyone?

    B E A utiful start to the day. Scrapping the car this morning was fun. The models showing some cold, Christmas ads for the supermarkets starting to show in every ad break, Ant and Dec coming back in the jungle....it can mean only one thing...... I watch too much TV..... Oh and winter is coming!!
