Model Output Discussion 1st Nov.2013
Heisenberg replied to phil nw.'s topic in Forecast Model Discussion
Snow, no snow.....it will come at some point this winter, but TBH im thrilled at the prospect of losing the bombardment of rain and mild, even if it is for a short period. Any pattern change to something more seasonal (be it Snow or not) has got to better than what weve had recently.... -

I think i had better get some batteries in my torches. Candles ready and some reading material..... As my house backs onto a conservation area where the airfield used to be my conservatory is going to get pummled by the wind. The good point is that there are no major trees close to my house in this area. the bad point is that there are no trees near my house to slow the wind... Im also getting quite excited about this, but I am also genuinely worried about how this modern (built 10 years ago or so) house will fare in these winds. During the 87 storm (I dont think this will compare) but i was living in Southend in a house bullt in the 1800's, it was a tough house but we still lost lots of roof..... Do you think i should not park the car near the house? Worried about tiles falling off....

Thanks for the well wishes guys. She is going to see Matilda in the west end tonight with a stay in a hotel near the theater with her mum tonight, then tomorrow I have 5 kids coming with us for dinner at TGI (which will cost me a small fortune) and then back to me where 3 of them will sleep over and my eldest is also having one of his mates staying over.... Popcorn, movies and Xbox (for the boys GTA 5 mad), so all in all a nice quiet evening....NOT Sunday morning at 4am Im down in Leigh on Sea to run my bootsale and then out for dinner for my Dads 70th with the whole family. the kids are staying with them for a few days and im driving back to Hatfield on Sunday night....Might be an interesting journey home on the M25 and A1 eh

A beaut day today....Certainly a bit of a chill in the air, but the way some people dress...ive seen scarfs, wooly hats, and even golves!!! what are these people going to do when its actually cold?? Also, I have to ask....Im actually looking forward to something big on Monday. I would love nothing more than massive winds and rain!!! (with the caveat that everyone is safe etc).. Does that make me a freak?
