Good posting by Tamara in the model thread again.
The person who responded to her obviously didn't read her post, as he could have learned from it. Anyone who has an avatar like his, is unlikely to post much of value there anyway. The response was pathetic, but immediately 'liked' by some of the cabal that seem to lurk on that thread all the time.
I've lost respect (and quite a lot) for one or two posters there this winter. One who is a major year round contributor too. He has made some snide postings about other valuable posters, yet his postings have often not been worth a jot.
(slight) rant over - I'm quite chilled really.
I have to say steve that I agree with you. If its the person im thinking off then what a pompus As* ....Anyway back to the weather and its like a stuck record....while i may get shot down for saying im looking forward to the wind prospects tomorrow, im also concerned for any damage and loss it may cause. Good luck to those that need it in the south of the region

Honest opinions please (weather related and need to decide within the next 2 hours) would you risk a trip to Devon this weekend. Go around 4pm and returning Sunday lunch time.Have had a really bad time personally this week and desperately need a break. As I have hit breaking point.Katie
Hi Katie,
sorry to hear youve had a rough time. TBH looking at the way things are panning out, I personally think if you leave at 4pm in Friday traffic with the water so high, you will be lucky to get there by sunday lunch time.
If its a break you need, i think you will be spending a lot of time in the car getting there and then probably stuck inside once there.....Good luck whatever you decide to do.

She is moving though pretty bloody fast to..
Slightly deeper than the GFS has as well...
Yea, I notice that too. Do you think thats been accounted for with the timescales for hitting us and for the length it will go on for?
Also it may well slow as it hits land?

Morning Gang,
Rain again.....more to come tonight with heavy wind too.
Lots of major routes are closed or very very delayed due to flooding. A1, M1, M25, A41 and A414 around me are horrific.
Wife cant get from Hatfiled to Borehamwood due to the flooding.....More to come too...not good.
On the bight side, its POETS day, not that i can leave early but still, looking forward to getting home tonight and having a large
glassBottle of Red, White, Jack.,....I honestly dont care what it is....- 4

Ohhh its all kicking off on the mad thread.....forget the storms, take cover from that lol.
I have to agree with what Chris78 said though that it should be called the hunt for cold thread as thats all it has been lately with lots of members only talking about that. Most of us love cold, but shouldnt it be a thread to talk about what the models show?
Rant over.

Another lovely journey into London courtesy of Mr Bob Crow and the idiots that follow him.
Looking at the radar there is yet more incoming. The wind last night almost blew the fence down and its now wobbling quite a bit....If Saturdays charts are anything to go by, it might just finish it off....
-
Rain arrived in Southwark about half an hour ago and wind has picked up a lot.
Im leaving work at 2 as really cant deal with the northern line jam packed rush hour due to the tube strike...Wont get paid for the afternoon but at least i should get home without having a row with someone....one can hope....

Thanks for the dramatic report Steve, I echo the others on here - stay safe.I am in the office today so drove from the amber zone into the yellow zone. There is currently no storm in the yellow zone nor was there one in the amber zone (sorry, desperate attempt to lever Airplane into the post), however it looks like it's all on it's way, although the last couple of hours have actually been quite sunny and relatively calm. I'll be headed back to the amber zone late afternoon.as
Wouldnt want you to get a parking ticket AS so just remember, the Amber zone is for loading or unloading of passengers only

yes mate its looking a bit wild and could go on for a while. Back in Nov when we had the mad half hour, things were flying and my garden gate ripped off (still lying on the floor (Flipping useless landlord)) lord knows what a lengthy spell like that will produce...exciting....yes, but slightly worried....
