Stuff the woodshed lol I'd say the peaks are the better option

We can have a down beat answer of....dp too high so sorry gloomy sleet and damp conditions or we can have the upbeat answer of.... All just the right side of marginal even to low levels with moderate snowfall and a good covering overnight and further spells of snow into the morning slowly petering out during the afternoon! I no which I'd prefer.

I no its not exactly lovely out there but blimey iv never seen somebody post so many doom n gloom messages. Don't worry it will soon be summer

I'd say it's definitely worth the drive, non of it is melting up there and if there's any more well I'd say take a sledge lol

A few pics from my drive down the road to the lickey hills, it's like a different world up there, absolutely freezing with light snow falling and no thaw what so ever

Well it's still snowing here very light though and a good covering just a very slight thaw in patches so far

Still snowing here and no sign of a thaw it's actually settling really well, surprised people further north are reporting rain and sleet. Very strange

Some bigger flakes now at last no sign of a thaw.... ..yet

A good covering here this morning, I'm hoping it carries on through the day without turning to rain. I suppose we will just have to wait and see

I actually believe that we may get some snow starting tonight right through until Sunday! Yes it's only showers and yes probably light but if they arrive at night we may get a covering out of it especially the higher up you are. That's my take anyway

Trouble is it's been there most of the winter and everytime the models try and remove it, it just seems to reappear and sits there. The slug just will not clear off

Think I'll be in spring mode after this, bit of warmth how nice would that be. Obviously after loads of snow, very doubtful on that front lol

I can't for the life of me see how this block will just sink away so easily as shown, they are known for being a lot more robust than currently shown so I'd expect things to change and I'm sure things won't pan out come next week how they are currently shown. Come Saturday let's see where the models lie for next week then not at this long range.think I got there in the end lol

It's 5 days away, common we all no its going to change for better or worse before then. Trends not Gospel

Totally agree lol, in my small experience this is a developing situation and the models always break down the highs far to quickly and in reality they are a lot stronger and more stubborn that they first appear. Just my opinion of course

The trend is pretty much the same, nobody knows weather it will be an easterly or south easterly yet, the main thing is to get that pattern. At the end of the day we can't say for sure what will happen Monday let alone late next week. Keep calm people it's all looking up for now to get that cold air in place and see what develops nearer the time. Enjoy

Totally agree and tbh the closer we get to the reliable I can see further upgrades in this and more and more white stuff potential as we get closer. Roll on Wednesday when we should be on the cusp of something special..... I/we hope

What I find absolutely hilarious here is the amount people analyse every single run as Gospel. One minute you look and people panic about the ecm run and then the next minute another model run comes out and you see boom, back in the game etc. I don't no weather I'm coming or going half the time. It's coming people just relax a little they are just variations of the theme not a definite cert!!! I will now go back into the background lol

What gets me is the constant putting back of everything it's like people just keep believing what they want and say for the start of jan this will happen then it's the middle and so on. In my experience unless it actually forecasts it on the BBC then it rarely happens. The garden paths are extremely long since iv been a member on here! Trouble is I'm addicted to it. Anyway enough moaning still the whole of Feb to go and probably March. Oh here I go again lol. Gota say I'm looking forward to some heat though. Let's just hope we get some of the white stuff before then though as I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel just yet
