It hasn't happened yet so how can you say a disappointing short snap? If it was showing raging a easterly and snow you would be saying upgrade!! There's loads of time for changes

Just what I was thinking, tbh after the 12z earlier I was ready to give up, I was expecting it to carry on so when it actually happened we ended up with a cool sharp blast and that's it. Anyway still plenty of time for further upgrades!!! Lol

I see what your saying, to me this is far from over yet, I still think that high will end up slightly further NW as I'm sure I see on the charts for the 4th it's gradually moving further NW and the trough to the east being closer the UK. That's what I think anyway

The models are just variables of what will (should) happen, so to me let's just get that high to the west and it will end up either in a better NW location or poorer se imo. Either way it should become pretty cold with something white! That could be either the s word or the f word. Let's just enjoy whats happening and just watch the models with interest and in 24 hours things will look better or hopefully not worse. Nobody or any computer model can predict what will happen in 3-4 days let alone 10!! Just my opinion of course

I'd say the 18z gfs will be different to the 12z but then so will tomorrows and so on, at this stage I'd say it's all looking very positive and hopefully will continue to do so

Blooming heck people, not every run will be exactly the same, expect changes from every run, some good some not so, the only thing that matters at this range is to get the high West and see where it goes from there nearer the time. That's my opinion anyway

I can't help but think that there's going to be big changes going forward, personally think the south will start to feel raw in the breeze and gradually the high will move slowly NW, then things will start to look good around Xmas time. Who knows that video posted couple of weeks ago of gavs may come true....you never no

The models chop and change like the wind, a few days time they will be showing a totally different outcome which may be showing snow, frost, rain, mild or cold for next week so pretty pointless in looking for end of month let alone Jan. I study the models myself and have been for a few years just don't normally have the confidence to post in here but common this is laughable

Not as far as I no but it's high up and you get a good view, it's in Rubery about 12 miles or so south of Birmingham, if we get anything decent it's well worth a look
