Generally I'd say we usually do well here from Cheshire gap streamers and that but who knows, all I do no is it will settle instantly as the road outside is a sheet of ice. Come on showers!!!

Model Moans, Ramps and Banter
markw2680 replied to Polar Maritime's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
I just read this and thought exactly the same thing -
The models are just variables of what will (should) happen, so to me let's just get that high to the west and it will end up either in a better NW location or poorer se imo. Either way it should become pretty cold with something white! That could be either the s word or the f word. Let's just enjoy whats happening and just watch the models with interest and in 24 hours things will look better or hopefully not worse. Nobody or any computer model can predict what will happen in 3-4 days let alone 10!! Just my opinion of course
-
I can't help but think that there's going to be big changes going forward, personally think the south will start to feel raw in the breeze and gradually the high will move slowly NW, then things will start to look good around Xmas time. Who knows that video posted couple of weeks ago of gavs may come true....you never no

Am I actually reading all this??? The models chop and change like the wind, a few days time they will be showing a totally different outcome which may be showing snow, frost, rain, mild or cold for next week so pretty pointless in looking for end of month let alone Jan. I study the models myself and have been for a few years just don't normally have the confidence to post in here but common this is laughable

Not as far as I no but it's high up and you get a good view, it's in Rubery about 12 miles or so south of Birmingham, if we get anything decent it's well worth a look- 2,726 replies

Model Output Discussions 18z 31/01/2016
markw2680 replied to phil nw.'s topic in Forecast Model Discussion
Please don't shoot me down as it's a genuine question, is there any chance a small part of that cold over America etc could make its way here on say a westerly wind? It just looks quite close to me?
