    Yet Castleford which is only 9 miles away it shows heavy snow at 11am and then rain from 1pm-8pm, is there really going to be that much difference in that distance, i know Castleford is slightly nearer to see level than Leeds but still...

    Normally love the snow, but sunday is Cas Tigers v Leeds Rhinos in Castleford at 3.30pm, looks like the game could be cancelled? i suppose its a win win situation for me, no rugby = snow and vice versa

    Do people not use the radar ?, can they not see the precipitation bottom left over manchester moving towards yorkshire? The initial band struggled over the pennines but as Keeley said on look north it will get more organised and more will get over in the next few hours as you can see it building on this picture

    Met office showing heavy snow again for wakefield/castleford area from 9 onwards, does this look likely?

    Well im not far from you, in Allerton Bywater and its still a sleety mix, not happy, temp still sat at 0.7

    hope this heavy stuff when it arrives brings the snow, just had sleet for the last 2 hours, and temp is hovering around 1 degree, otherwise i'm off to bed :-(

    Yep showing heavy snow for me in Castleford now on Met Office from 9pm Sunday until at least 6am Monday Above is the precip chart from the 6z GFS for 9pm Sunday night. A lot of precipitation going to waste in the sea there, could do with the 12z GFS that starts rolling out in the next 15 minutes to push that precip back westwards. Can someone advise how i make images bigger when uploading ?
