    When you say most of us, are you suggesting that it wont even reach west yorkshire?, looking at the radar its not far from huddersfield

    Stopped here at the moment but the radar shows snow all round here and much more to come

    I dont get it, on bbc weather forecast it shows us in the yellow area and states up to 5cm of snow, yet when they run the graphics for friday, the band does not even reach us, how do they come to that conclusion? does the 5cm include saturday Anyway they didnt even predict the snow we are getting now so i dont know why i bother watching their forecasts.

    06Z NMM which comes out at 11am has got snow reaching western parts of Yorkshire by 2pm tomorrow and staying over the region all day in comparison with the 00Z NMM which never really reached Yorkshire, this ties in with the latest GFS eastwards movement.

    Would that be because it takes ages to update and will be based on the downgrade on last nights charts, and haven't taken into account the recent upgrade for yorkshire on the most recent charts?

    I am a total newbie in regards to model output etc, but when people are stating that the event is over just after 1 run it is a little annoying to be honest, especially when in the model output thread this is posted, which to me shows a lot of snow over our region on saturday afternoon does it not? http://www.meteociel...2-594.GIF?16-16 Bit confusing for newbies like me that some people flip their opinions as often as the models do. Surely you cant take 1 run as gospel?

    the snow intensity is not an issue here in wakefield, its just not settling on the roads or pavements, surely its cold enough and intense enough, i dont understand why it isnt.

    This is the NMM for the same time tomorrow, which is more likely to be right ?, hope its not the NMM, anyone know why its so different? Also can anyone help with the sizing of my attachments?, unsure how to do it

    rubbish here been sleeting on and off for a few hours quite dissapointing really, knowing my luck will be in the warm sector tomorrow as well

    Can anyone advise, the bit in green in the middle of yorkshire is the 0 dew point i think, this is the current live radar on netweather extra with dewpoint overlay, does the green bit mean the snow will fall as sleet as it is not cold enough?

    Are you sure it was mild that week, i picked the wrong week to have damproofing done in my house so had no heating and doors open whilst the 3 day job got done and that started on the Monday 13th December 2010, it was far from mild believe me :-)

    Hello I'm back for the Winter cold and snow watching season, just signed up for a 3 month full subscription to Netweather Extra, my favourite time of year, been browsing the forums for years now but dont know anywhere near enough to confidently join in with the discussion, learnt a lot though, keep up the good work. I might post more when snow watching is in action :-)

    Im hoping that it will turn to snow shortly, met office warning for snow in west yorkshire doesnt start until 4pm

    Its showing snow on the netweather radar where i am in Wakefield, but it is just rain here :-(

    Having to access everything from my phone because my router has broken today of all days you couldn't make it up :-( My station in w Yorkshire is reporting temp at 1.3, dew point -7 and wet bulb -1, is that cold enough for snow, temp seems a bit high and this is before the front even gets here?

    Is the below chart still showing snow still over Yorkshire at 1am Sunday Morning, am i reading this correctly ?, bearing in mind it is due to hit about 2-3pm on Saturday, thats a lot of continous snow
