really dark in the city of London, like night time. Heavy rain.

Good to see the forum back on line. Rain has arrived here, lots of fireworks going off aswell, several rather loud ones made me jump!! And lit up the garden with Foxie standing there in the rain.

Tragically the two people trapped in the house in hounslow have been confirmed as dead this afternoon, man and woman. Rip.
I heard the explosion from here, wondered what it was as all the birds simultaneously flew out of the trees, startled.
-
Gusty shower here with some juicy clouds going past!

Morning. Hope everyone is ok.
Was very windy here for a time. Large branch snapped off a tree here in the park. Wonder how kew gardens has faired, just down road from us here.
Trains and tubes are struggling I see, due to debris on tracks.
-
From our living room I can see one tree down in the park here. Lots of bits of tree debris on patio. Planes going to heathrow.
-
The wind is noisey here, can still hear planes going to heathrow, presumably the larger jets.

Awake here in brentford west lond. The rain is quite something now. Wind picking up in bursts..
-
Same here now, wind in bursts, at first thought it was traffic , the night bus or whatever, as our place just off main road behind large wall, but it was whooshing of the trees in the wind! Restless night ahead for all.Thats what has suprised me Ruthie, the relentless rain. Must be 5 or 6 hours of it now but the wind is seriously kicking in here now.
-
Rain is relentless! Not so windy, but the rain keeping me awake...

I can't see anyone's locations anymore, on the ipad. I was able to earlier. Wonder if the site has done what it did in winter re heavy use, so the locations switched off?

Slowwwww, but am finding whole internet slow to be honest!
I see most se train operators saying no service before 9am.
Still gusts of winds here, but not as bad as this afternoon.
Wonder if I should take bird feeders down.

Trimmed back the tree hitting our roof, it hasnt made much difference to the noise! Just gotta hope now. Making a lamb roast with a bottle of red with it I think.
Fairly strong gusts on and off here.

For these needing south west trains tomorrow, they are advising against travel. They are posting a revised timetable shortly, some routes won't run, some will start at 8am.
Off to chop down a tree that hast stopped banging the roof!

A few trees here in the park have fallen past year or two. One had been hit by lightning a while back and so it was a dead tree, it just cracked and collapsed one day, wasnt even windy!.Was looking forward to sharing nice red this eve but I mentioned to the better half that I'd told the insurance company that the 30ft noble fir tree in in our garden was at least 7 metres away from our home - turns out it's less that 6 and now she's really worried. Insurance company closed for the weekend fingers crossed the tree will stay where it's been for the last 30yrs.
Might open an extra bottle of red later
I hope your tree stays upright, and you enjoy your possible two reds tonight!
Just ventured outside, it feels cooler than of late and a stiffening breeze.
