Hi guys and girls. Just popping in from the Midlands thread as I'm down in your parts tomorrow in South Devon near Modbury at my parents holiday lodge. Hows the weather looking for next week? I'm looking forward to trips to Salcombe and the gorgeous Bigbury on Sea.

I'm off to South Devon, tomorrow for a week. Looking forward to walks on the beach and good Devonshire Ale and food! The weather doesn't look too shabby either!

Best snow event was easily 1987. I was only a young kid but we had around two feet of snow with huge drifts. I remember being sent home early from school and my mums car getting stuck in the snow in our country lane. The farmer had to come and help get the car out and our car was a four wheel drive car!

Just frustrated at how poor this winter has been again really. I don't expect 50 cm of snow. five cm would be nice that lay for a day or more!

Such a shame we now enter this boring pathetic spell of weather. It has been bad enough this cold spell but the next week or so boring, boring and more boring.

What happened to the predicted top temps of one and two degrees? This is no cold spell!

Yes it feels cold but it has been a poor cold spell for most. Snow melts in minutes and most haven't seen any decent lying snow. From my point of view this winter has been poor so far and I cant see it getting any better, snow wise. I hope I am wrong!

The West deserves snow.

A north easterly can deliver well to the West Midlands. I hope we can get in on the action at some stage tomorrow and Thursday.

I agree. Parts of the West Midlands are cursed for snow.
