    Metoffice radar shows a little precipitation in the Fife & Edinburgh region, very light by the looks of things. Time to check the lamp-post!

    I think this is the longest the sun has hidden behind a cloud in quite a while... But I do make that a whole week, day after day of waking up to ground frost and freezing tempuratures! Currently 2 degrees and clouding over from the south as expected! Oh, the sun just came out again! If only it was summer eh?!

    Yep. I had around 6 inches of snow on the 23rd of December, only thing I heard about it was on the local radio. Heck, it wasn't even forecast to snow that night. Maybe, just maybe the news will look north this week after what could be some hefty dumpings.

    I'd happily take one last snowfall before Spring. If im being honest, I really want some warmth now, but yeah, this has been some winter up until now, lets go out with a bang, aye?

    I remember saying yesterday that we may need to wait till today or tomorrow's outputs to see really how our week will plan out, i'm sticking to that! Although it pretty much seems like the GFS is on its own but how i'll be dissapointed if its right. I want to wake up to a winter wonderland on wednesday, thursday and friday! Not dull, damp, cloudy rain!

    Your not doing anything wrong, just the resolution of the image is quite big EDIT: But to get back on topic, ive got two lamp-posts I use to see if it snowing but since it's not snowed up here for a while now, ive got no pictures! Shall try on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday as we are almost guaranteed something snowy by then!

    Sooooo, having missed all the model output and shabang, how we looking for wednesday/thursday/friday? BBC seem have forecast heavy snow for wednesday day and night with light snow showers for thursday. We still in with a good shout at seeing some good snow this week?

    Temperatures currently at -2. Lowest around -7. 6th morning in a row with ground frost. Pretty chilly up here! Temperatures seem to have got down to around -14 up at Aviemore.

    Have we actually seen any Atlantic activity since maybe... November? By the sounds of it, the models look good for Scotland... 60 hours of snow, yes please! Haha!

    Ive not seen the 18Z, but by the way its being described... it sounds like an epic upgrade! That pretty much sounds like the best plausible outcome for us up here. I wouldn't be a stupid man saying that we are almost guaranteed to seeing some significant snow by the end of the week, am I?
