Dunno OTR.... I'd like to think we'll be snowy all the way through, but knowing my luck it'll probably rain instead
Let's not even go there lol

Well... this is all looking good, so fingers crossed!!!
Got to say watching the goings on in here is almost as good as watching the snow fall.... almost

Hum... You're right HS... BBC 5 dayer has us on heavy snow pretty much most of today and tomorrow... I'll believe that when I see it
Did manage to get a walk up the hill last night, and the snow cover up there isn't too bad... about 3-4 inches or so... still rubbish in the town, but let's see what today and tomorrow bring!

Very drippy here in the centre of town now... fingers crossed Monday delivers the goods here... I'm a bit like you Ally... I keep waiting for it to get on with it, and so far nothing to shout about
Mind you... we are not alone....

Well... from a personal perspective that was slightly dissapointing... under an inch and nothing since about 9pm last night...
I feel for those who haven't had anything so far... Here's to a better snow day for all!
Tim
-
Well... horizontal snow.. don't see that everyday
Here's hoping it gets a bit further west too!!
Tim
-
Yep!
Chucking it down just now... long may it continue....
Tim
-
Well... today could be the big day... for some of us anyway!
Best of luck to all seeking snow, and fingers crossed that even Glasgow and the west get in on the action too!

Well... fingers crossed folks.. I'm hoping you're right LSS... looking forward to walks in the snow this weekend... maybe!!

Ally
The College doesn't like to close though I've been here 7 years and it's only closed twice I think....
Once was for a week mind (November 2010)... but you never know

lol Edo
I'm really up for a 'large drop' right about now
Getting a little worried before today that this spell would go belly up before we received anything decent... but things do look like they are improving...
Tim
-
Well...
Excellent explanation by LSS as always... here's hoping that we get something out of this... It would be SO frustrating to be a few miles too far to the east in this setup!

Well... another day, another "No Snow"
That wonderful satelite image shows that we here in Perth have been pretty unlucky so far... and as mentioned above our bad luck could possibly continue... if we don't get at least one decent snowfall before the end of this cold snap it won't be just toys being launched, it'll be the whole pram

Yep, can concur with OTR... actually not a bad day for walking at the mo
Here's hoping snow will show up later, though I have my doubts....

Light and sleety here at the moment... fingers crossed it gets a bit heavier, but it's not ideal snow... for now

Morning folks
Well... as best as I can tell it's actually raining here.... does appear to be a slight dusting on the hill, but was kinda hoping for plenty later... looking at the last few posts though it seems that we've had it for today
Oh well!! More chances tomorrow
Tim

You will not! You will be leant forward, nose to glass, checking the lampost! There are so many Perthonians we can take shifts!
I won't be checking the lampost, I'll be at the top of the hill jumping up and down and taking hundreds of photos!!!!
Nothing better than a good walk around while the snow is chucking it down!!

Well... looking good but not counting my chickens yet... Nice map LSS... good to see you can use Paint without any problems
I'm just hoping you're right on about your total predictions... I'm supposed to be in Kinross on tuesday so I'm kinda hoping that it might be a struggle to get there

Thank you LSS... I have to say I've been very impressed with your technical expertise for quite some time now, and I'm sure you'll help us to make sense of the madness going forwards...
Also welcome Dawn and thank you for the warm welcome folks... as I said, I'll probably be fairly quiet (which is probably just as well ) but I'll try to comment from time to time, and certainly if we get buried...
We can but hope!

Welcome.
Don't worry about posting in here. It's all good with friendly people. Some very knowledgeable forecasters but we all have a deep common interest.
Exciting times ahead and hopefully (but still uncertain) we will al have stories of snow.
Why thank you I've been lurking for a couple of years or so now, pretty much since the last big snowy spell.. but I don't like to talk when I don't have something to say, so I normally stay quiet
Having said that I know that I'm in good company here, so will try to contribute a bit more... especially if it gets snowy soon... really fancy getting out with the camera so I've got lots of images to look at when I starting getting snow sick!

Thought I'd break my usual silence and say hello quickly!
Have to say that things are looking really really good... (for a change!)
I'm normally fairly downbeat about snow prospects here (Perth), as normally, well to be honest, I'm just not that lucky
Having said that fingers crossed that we'll all have something white and fluffy to look at soon
Must also add that I say a very unusual sight today of three deer crossing the road... this was actually in Perth itself (near Craigie hill), but even so unsual I guess...
Maybe they know something we don't???
