Not yet we are night, AcCas clouds are normally a good indication of some thundery stuff could kick off later and that the mid to upper air is unstable. Normally an indication for possible Elevated Thunderstorms later on, but we will have to wait and see

Weather Report Isle of Wight 23:35pm: Today's Overall summery: Well its been a rather interesting day, the day started mostly cloud, with just the odd glimpse of the sun just before 9:30am. Then the cloud thickened and was eventually under full cloud cover. However with this came a lot of low cloud, mist and Drizzle. The cloud was in for the rest of the day. Into the Afternoon, a couple of heavy showers developed ahead of the main band of rain from the South West, one of the showers was extremely heavy at one point, which was pretty cool too see. However after I finished work, the main band had just set in, and unfortueatly I had to play bowls in this. As the Evening went on, the rain got really quite heavy, and combined with this was some very strong winds, touching almost gale force at times. It wasn't pleasant at all to be honest. Current Weather Now: There is still a lot of cloud about, and there is still drizzle faliing, infact heavy Drizzle. There is also still a rather strong wind too. Very short weather report as am at work but its dead. It was a very damp start to the morning with alot of low cloud and Drizzle! But since midday we have had heavy rain on and off, but the rain is actually quite convective as some of the spots has been pretty big. Full update later on tonight

Living here on the IOW, I do sometimes feel quite spolit with the views we have because sometimes we can see Lightning miles and miles away, when the visability is right we have even been able to see the distant flashes from storms that is in North France. And Ventnor is one of the best places for it, I work in Ventnor and I love it there!

I actually really do believe we have our own micro climate, it always seems to do something different and more unexpected over here than what the mainland has a lot of the time. Maybe its just where we are located, but I have no Idea haha. I agree about the bridge, I wouldnt want a bridge over here because it would sort of ruin it abit

I know its really far out but GFS and ECM are showing this, but please please happen! GFS version: ECM Version: Personally I would prefer the ECM if this was to pull, because of more intence heat and Violent thunderstorms! Just thought id post this in here for some Interest, which has probably already been seen by most on here They will obviously change but who knows!

Oh I didnt catch it haha, My friend captured this one but I was with him when he got it. But nah he didnt video it, he generally caught it on his Camera, basically he used his camera, but he has a Lightning trigger, and what he does is set it up on the top of his camera, and it goes off whenever Lightning strikes and most of the time it does capture the Lightning. It is actually extremely accurate the trigger he uses, as sometimes it goes off ad we are like howwww did it do that when we havent seen anything, but then everytime aswell thunder rumbles away. So it is very accurate .
