  2. I hope you guys realise that it will shift east as the week goes on! it always does!
  3. Still a bit early to get hopes up though! im not even going to tell my dad because hes always negative when i say theres a possibility of storms as he always thinks they wont happen and soo far hes been 100% correct! come on mother nature show him wrong!
  4. everyone in the midlands should shhh! :o so far this year the south has seen hardly anystorms and for some like me havent seen a single one this year. the midlands have been hogging it all! about time the south got a few good storms!
  5. So far its worse then last year! the last big sotmr i had was in june 2009 on the 25th or the 27th i cant remember which one! unless it pics up soon its going down as the worst storm year ive ever had! Any mone it picks up through the begining half of july as im not here, im in mexico!
  6. Im actually freezing today! its been stressy today as ive been buidlin my new computer all day could do with a good ol storm to relax me and give me something else to think about! but its been shockingly dull here and wednesday looks good for the north not the south/se!

  8. Wow! you're school is awsome my secondary school never took me anywhere the furthest i ever went from it on a trip was to vicarage road football stadium which is basically 5 minutes drve from my secondary school! I went to florida last august and the temperature was 38c+ in the shade, most american buildings doo have airconditioning its only when you go outside its painful nearlly, I walked from one side of a mall carpark to the entrance no further then a 1/4 mile and it felt like I was going acroos the sahara! but as long as its not constantly up in the mid 30s/ high 90s you will be fine and plus you get used to it after a while. Have you ever been anywhere remotley as hot as that?
  9. Sounds awsome i haven't been before and would like to put some of these names to faces! If i have my car fixed by then or i have a new car and if im not working that night ill come! There best be some cheeky lightning footage, no storm porn collection should be without it
  10. Wow that is amazing, what do you think the hissing sound was? Do you really think that was caused by lightning? does lightning have that kind of power to explode solid granite?
  11. Yeah its like the M25 is the border for the stormshield. london has had a very very quite period, lets hope for more activity. Last time I had a decent storm (excluding florida august 2009) was in late june last year. Still quite early in the year and we still have about 2 and a half months left. I haven't seen a quiet period like this ever I dont think, I always remember there being april showers in march/april time that would bring some claps of thunder along and when I was even younger I remember vividly that there used to be a hell of a lot of night time storms as i used to be quite affraid of them. Lets just hope all this changes soon.
  12. yes the rest of the week looks dire, some very dark clouds passsing me into london earlier looked pretty nasty for a while but i didn't recieve one drop! Last night all we got was a light shower before i passed out for the night! According to NASA oxfordshire, northhamptonshire and milton keynes have the most lightning strikes per Square mile in the uk with northhampton, oxford and milton keynes forming a triangle for the lightning activity. measured from 1995 to 2003. You cant see it on this map here but on the google maps version you can see it quite clearly which you can find here but you have to download google maps to view it.
  13. Thunderstorm ID W-353 detected 19:38 Moving north!
  14. Pretty dark to my southwest now! looks like its building but it doens't look stormy yet!
  15. Some nice (what i think is) altostratus here! I have no idea of what they are indicative to? what about southern hertforshire? watford area lol
  16. Roadhouse! Pretty weird to here about this all of a sudden that london and the home counties could get hit tonight? No prior conversation about it! whoa! Im not gonna jinx it by telling my dad as hes always soo negative, i blame him for a our storm shield!
  17. Im just having a break from the studio and thought id check up on this thread as i haven't wrote anything in a while! So what are the chances for northern london to catch anything?
  18. Im all up for seeing lightning but aslong as it dont wake me up with a BANG then im good! plus i have college tommorow!
  19. Yeah todays not looking the best, its very dull. you never know though it might just happen?
