    Did you get anything early am?, it was East of IOW, not very active.

    It needs to get going fairly quickly, or it may end up being a wet day with a few rumbles thrown in.

    I'd say there's a storm that may track over the Eastern part of IOW / Selsey , maybe next 45 mins. Not much lightning though.

    Quite a bit of Accas around, not sure if it's trying to develop further, could be something home grown in the next hour or so.

    Ok thanks, no wonder I couldn't find it. Is there a next best option? I don't really use the models very much. Just wait until nearer the time , and then watch the sky and radar.

    Looks clouded out tonight. This morning wasn't anything too exciting, but it's the first sighting this year hereabouts.

    Yes storms developing around Cherbourg early evening and heading NNE. I remember that happening a few times before. Now it's either home-grown or Kent clippers.

    32 minutes ago, Harry said: "a cow parping at an awkward angle on the edge of the North Downs could cause storms to initiate". I agree about the occlusion/troughs focusing storms. Maybe it's too early, but I've not seen any forecasts or models factoring in cows though. Or horses and sheep.

    It could be that rain from high cloud is delayed in reaching the ground. The cloud may of moved away, but rain takes a while to fall from the clouds, so it leaves a trail of rain behind it.

    Shame it wasn't mid-July with darker skies, may of got nocs and Aurora together.

    A fair bit of cloud around, can see Noctilucents only a few degrees above horizon beneath Capella.
