wow can't believe I'm in 5th  Still last week helped out alot. I would like to say a big thank you to Paul S for organising this and for now having 200+ members joining in and giving an idea of just where is the thunderiest place in the U.K is. (looks like stormguy is going to live up to his name!!!!)
At around 11AM I had a weak thunderstorm, only two rumbles of thunder heard, still better then nothing(although it did produce a decent spell of heavy rain)
I had three storms last night. The first was at 9.30PM which decided to cut the power off and had almost torrentail rain at one point. The second was even better and lasted from 3-00AM till 6.00AM lasting around three hours for me. It's was brillient with some decent lightning but even more better was the high windspeeds and the torrentail rain, looked like I was in the middle of a hurricane.
Same here Nick although I got about 15 mins before, decent storm, the best for a month though. The rain came down very hard and with gusts as well of strong wind making it look that bit more impressive. Stil needed that thunderstorm,to get over missing so many.
Yep very localised but still my luck had to come eventually after just missing two massive Multi-cell storms by 5 miles. Come on Bonnie,Give me what Alex couldn't,a severe storm
I was rather lucky as I had a brillient veiw point as the storm grew and heard one or two rumbles of thunder in the distance. Got some pics of the Anvil while it was growing as well so I'm pleased about that.
Kold - 4/5 days in advance that was a terrific call by yourself =D>
well thanks Andy bown, that's twice I've done that now!
(predicted storms on the 23rd,a week before and the storms came on the 22nd)
