  1. Same for me James. That soft tinkle of heavy snow hitting bushes and assorted garden bits n bobs. Lovely
  2. I'm about to get that one. Was driving home from Peebles through Drumelzier this afternoon and snow had settled already above 300m.
  3. Love it when Sean Batty uses the phrase, "snow piling-in".
  4. My prediction for upper tweeddale: Tues/Weds 15.6cm Storm 7cm and a period of sleet as she is overhead Fri-Sun 4.9cm Although the storm track is correcting south with every run...
  5. Now, now - it's difficult for everyone when the mood goes south (literally ). Post away in MOD your model commentary.
  6. Looking like an Xmas night/Boxing Day repeat for us western Borders' folk.
  7. Having watched it barely move all day - seems it's getting its act into gear just now. Edging ESE and intensifying.
  8. Driving into Edinburgh through that lot this morning was treacherous. Gritting teams had no chance with the switch from rain to snow. Thankfully far less traffic with the school holidays.
  9. Unexpected* heavy snow on again. * the best kind of snow?
  10. Less than 1mm this morning for me. The heavy ppn just didn't pass near whilst other parts of the Borders had lots. Weird. Rainy sleet on now despite my elevation and a temp never higher than 0.5°C today - at least there's still the 11cm from early Boxing Day
  11. As encouragement, we had 18 hours of rain yesterday and then after 22h00 it turned to sleet. Within 45 minutes, snow and then woke up to a winter wonderland.
  12. Definitely come south. I'm only six miles from Biggar and it's all frozen now for tomorrow.
  13. Looking down into the garden at 9.30am. 11cm in total. Delighted
  14. Snowing with me now, turned in the last thirty minutes. But it's a long way down the Clyde valley to GLA for the payout JS.
  15. Have a super duper yuletide one and all
  16. I appear to be in the sweet spot, or so my phone tells me. 15cms forecast from 3pm Xmas day. Drumalbin is my nearest xcweather station... I'll pay attention whilst roasting the goose.
  17. Looking to the NW/North atm, there's a feature heading south that's looking more significant on the radar than forecasts have suggested...
  18. Here's a GFS chart worth sharing - and it's only T+120...

What have you done to my garden shuggee?
  20. Aye, it's freezing-up. Hoping for some star viewing later.
