  1. 18cm in my usual spot in middle of lawn. Lots has blown away mind. Wonder if we'll beat January's 33cm
  2. 15cm here in the western Borders. And here's the A701. No-one has driven that for a long time...
  3. 6cm of weirdly squeaky snow. Every step to the post box. *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak*
  4. 10cm of snow = "Snow Emergency" and # 1 news headline +snigger+
  5. In December 2010 I spent a few days in Balquhidder - a stone's throw from Strathyre. Snow depth at 63cm and daytime highs of -8°C And then the Police advised no travel on the motorway network....
  6. Lovely animation of the PV falling apart: Apologies if double posting.
  7. I'll ask my pal who stays in the Grassmarket to walk his wee dog that way on Friday tea time
  8. Glistening sunshine with a hint of mist. Beauty of a Sunday morning.
  9. So, back from my week in the Canaries, and it appears there's nothing exciting happening... A sleet shower in Suffolk maybe?
  10. Looking at this forecast for Wednesday puts you more likely to be right alibabba: http://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/Pe253ql
  11. Thanks for sending the jet so far south, weather Gods. It's raining and 16°C in the Canaries now. Who do I complain to?
  12. A sledge load of off topic posts moved here: https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/89358-ssw-related-cold-spell-will-it-wont-it/
  13. In the end, the last hour of ppn here this morning was proper snow. New covering on top of the old. A crunchy inch left
  14. Just sleety blobs. Certainly nothing settling - washing away the snow that's been about for a couple of days even. Very geographically localised it seems.
  15. Just a couple of cms to add to the pile this morning. Thirty exciting minutes driving on untreated roads into Penicuik
  16. I remember in Leith, the premium set-up was an ENE'ly with at least -8°C uppers.
  17. Hello, hello, can you hear me? This is the Upper Tweeddale jury dialling-in. 4cm at my hoose. A very crusty surface of ice. A701 yet to be gritted, so a fun drive to Moffat!
  18. Yes, this appears best illustrated in Northern Ireland. A good 3C lower than forecast already, four hours ahead of the GFS.
  19. DP and wet bulb dropping like a stone. Excellent conditions now.
  20. On my, 20cm! Mardartha up there too. I'll have to dust-down my measuring stick.
