  1. Hi MIA thanks for the kind words just seen this from Antarctica what a stunning display also
  2. 15 C possible on Sunday with that warmer air I mentioned and there’s the fronts, probably the first 2 that would have any thundery potential
  3. That time of year when I start looking for convective potential nothing too exciting showing up at the minute but looking through the wrf nmm notice Sunday which ATM shows low pressure in the Atlantic and the high in Europe drawing up a S / SW flow with a front trying to move in from the Atlantic nothing major and CAPE values not that high but if it is a slower moving front and the milder flow develops more could turn into something so I will keep checking.
  4. Don’t shoot the messenger well given the “winter” we had and the current situation around the world anything is possible personally I would take something similar to last years thunderstorms here though I think it will be a while before it is matched / beat especially the 5 month streak of thunder at least once each month from April - August.

  8. @Paul Sherman hi Paul just wanted to hear your thoughts on the Jonesboro tornado and also the Cookeville tornado a few weeks ago, do you agree that the Jonesboro tornado could have been an EF4 (similar to Tuscaloosa) and the Cookeville an EF5 given the damage? Also I appreciate how difficult it must be for the survey teams but what is your opinion on the EF rating system compared to the old F ratings I just think with so much categories that go into the ratings that possibly skews some of the ratings as discussed. Thanks in advance
