    Looks as though it's been drizzle all night. I'm done for this winter. I shall be back in August for the Northern hemisphere ice thread

    Interestingly, my Met Office app has a yellow warning for snow, just creeping into the north west corner of Essex, tomorrow and Thursday

    Beautiful morning, this morning. Cold, frosty, sunny. As @Kent Blizzard said, a proper winters morning

    Odd night, last night. I took the dog out about 7, and cars were frosting over. At 9, I had really thick fog. I couldn't see the houses across the road, no more than 50 yards. Then I woke up to find the hardest frost of the winter.

    Looks like Essex will be. Let's just hope it moves East. Only one of my kids have seen settled snow, and he's too young to remember it.

    No alerts, it says sleet at 4pm for my location. Not great.

    Fingers crossed for this evening, but it's more in hope than expectation. Temperatures will have to drop a few degrees.

    I've gone for 70% milder in an attempt at some kind of reverse psychology on Mother Nature.

    Went from 12° at Gatwick, to -24° in Cleveland. Seven days later it was 28° in New Orleans.
