  1. Looks as though it's been drizzle all night. I'm done for this winter. I shall be back in August for the Northern hemisphere ice thread
  2. I think it'll be more annoying, we'll get wet snow that is completely useless
  3. Interestingly, my Met Office app has a yellow warning for snow, just creeping into the north west corner of Essex, tomorrow and Thursday
  4. Beautiful morning, this morning. Cold, frosty, sunny. As @Kent Blizzard said, a proper winters morning
  5. Odd night, last night. I took the dog out about 7, and cars were frosting over. At 9, I had really thick fog. I couldn't see the houses across the road, no more than 50 yards. Then I woke up to find the hardest frost of the winter.
  6. Gritter has gone past again here. Do they know something we don't? Mind you, they went past yesterday, too
  7. Nothing here. No snow, no frost. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, but breath not being held
  8. We've just had the gritter go past. I don't live a main road or bus route, so they must be expecting something.
  9. Looks like Essex will be. Let's just hope it moves East. Only one of my kids have seen settled snow, and he's too young to remember it.
  10. Very lightly falling here, but the wind made it very difficult to look where I was going
  11. 3 degrees temperature, 0 dew point. Just waiting the precipitation
  12. Fingers crossed for this evening, but it's more in hope than expectation. Temperatures will have to drop a few degrees.
  13. I've gone 80% mild. These Euro blocks have a nasty habit of sticking around. Hope I'm wrong.
  14. I'd never heard it before, but I instantly knew what was meant by it. I like to define it as wet beard weather.
  15. I've gone for 70% milder in an attempt at some kind of reverse psychology on Mother Nature.
  16. Went from 12° at Gatwick, to -24° in Cleveland. Seven days later it was 28° in New Orleans.
