Yet 7 miles down the road, there's barely a cloud in the sky. -

Temperature and dew point both -5 here. I've just spent the last 45 minutes clearing up rubbish in the back garden, as the bloody dog attacked one of the rubbish bags. I had to leave half of it, as it was frozen to the ground -

BBC forecast has me for snow from 5am until 3pm on Wednesday, with heavy snow at 7am. That will make the walk to nursery with my son interesting. Not that I believe it -

Very odd the difference a matter of a few miles can make. There was a very light disting of snow on the pavements this morning. My son was very excited on the way to nursery. Hopefully we might get a useful amount in the next couple of days -

Light snow for around 2 minutes. Disappointing, but not unexpected -

The sun is still out in Braintree. Some dark looking clouds in the distance, though. Not sure who will be more excited if the snow comes, me, the boys or the dog. -
According to the Weatherbug app on my phone (not the most accurate piece of equipment, I know), it's yet to get above freezing here
-
According to Rain Today, something should be falling here. It's not. Temperature and dew point are both 2 degrees
-
Absolutely throwing it down here. With rain.

In my 33 years, I only recall snow actually falling once on Christmas day, and that was, I think, 2002. We had snow on the ground in 2010 and lots of it,but no snowfall. I'm hoping for some around Christmas this year, not just for me, but for my two boys too.

Bit of a disappointment in Braintree. A couple of cm of snow on the grass, mush on the pavements and nothing on the roads. Looks like nothing more heading our way either. What happened to tomorrow's forecast snow?
