Got any pics Andy?,...just sat under dark grey sky's here with not much visual.
Sorry I should have done, was too busy working. It eventually caught us a little, tipped it down. Bone dry at home though.

Just up the road from you and we have had a right ol pasting with rivers down the street,i am hoping that these cells are recycling/back building into a storm later but i feel it's not going to happen.
It all looks cracking from my view in the office in Doncaster. All missing us so far but good cloudscapes.

Literally on the line for the weather warning later. It's a miserable day out there so will be interesting exactly how the night pans out.

We’ve definitely had a tornado here. Ridge tiles down all over our estate, even a gable end on one house has collapsed.
Never heard a noise like it before.
Fire engines are out in force, I’d be surprised if this doesn’t make the news.
Where in the town are you? It was viscious in terms of the squall here but no sign of anything like that here so that may suggest something very local.

Even up here out of the worst of it the winds this afternoon have been brutal, certainly not the norm. Lots of damaged houses, fences and erm trampolines. Amazing to see how some huge and healthy trees have been toppled.

Getting flickering lights here, it's been impressive.

It's been quite viscious here this afternoon. Enough to take a neighbour's flat roof straight off in a gust.
Quite astounding how it came very suddenly from a gentle breeze to strong gales very quickly.
-
Did enough to blow the kids slide over and that's heavy aswell, quite impressive the wind last night, the strongest we have had here for a while.
Tomorrow still could be nasty too, certainly not a quiet period of weather.
-
Yes interesting there's warnings for later on. Was really surprised how strong the wind was today around 6am, strong enough to wake us all up, felt stronger than forecast but maybe it's the lack of gales this winter that caused the surprise.

Can’t help but think these Synoptics would have resulted in an all snow event 50 years ago.
Very valid point. Snow in Barnsley/Sheffield. Doncaster? Not a bit. Narrow margins as ever, but with warming we'll see much less snow here these days. Rain was torrential an hour ago though and woke us up hammering the windows.

Nice little storm east of Doncaster, feels like it's been a while since we had one. Much needed for the garden.

Storms appear to be mostly clearing eastwards in South Yorkshire. We will see if anything else builds in behind.
-
Not the largest of cells round here but the lightning is impressive and the thunder very loud with it.
-
No doubt the showers popping up here this morning have been absolutely torrential and they are popping up right over us aswell.
-
Very small cell popped up over Doncaster with an incredibly intense rain/hail core. Absolutely tiny, one flash and bang and moved away. Noticeable on radar too.
Rapid towers shooting up all around particularly looking north and east so could well be an interesting afternoon towards the Humber.

Looking at the radar those storms around Doncaster are literally bursting into life, and sometimes dissapating just as quick...
Wife just got back home and said 2 miles away is flooded with large hail. Just missed us.

Fairly active storm passing by and the clouds are moving all manner of directions.

Over half an inch, some of these. I want summer now, this is ridiculous!
Looks fun!
Quite interesting to watch out front of my house, dark and shower after shower training by. Radar shows it's about 3 miles away getting every shower but totally dry here.
-
We are actually getting some melting on hard ground between showers so should keep totals down if that continues and the intensity doesn't ramp up

Most noticeable here is the wind. The snow isn't too heavy in the showers as yet but the wind gusts are blowing the snow there is all over the place.
-
This is the problem these schemes are having. Flooding in Doncaster used to be rare now it seems like any sort of rain issue causes flooding locally here and also north of Doncaster towards Selby, snaith etc.

We have a storm in Doncaster, the rain super heavy aswell. A nice surprise.

Can’t believe this entire spell of weather is going to end with a single distant rumble of thunder being the only thing of note.
Words fail me.
One more than us in Donny. Just the heat here.
Competition: How hot is it going to be?
