All I can say from Marlow .......
CSS (Chilterns Storm Shield) 3 - Storms 1 ...... But I'm declaring overall victory to the Storm, very convincing win Absolutely incredible, best I've witnessed for a fair few years and about time too!
Now, mother nature at her finest. A few remaining lightning strikes, a little rain and Mars clearly visible to the E ..... awesome

A fair few rumbles to my East and massive blobs of rain. Really tried to rain properly but couldn't!

Not for me in Wycombe unforch..although Liam Dutton on Twitter just said "I think the first showers and thunderstorms will probably pop up in the London area from around 4pm onwards".
Nowcasting I think!
Just down the road from you near Marlow. Unfortunately we seem to have the Chilterns Storm Shield in effect IF any storms break out

Same here as usual .... the Chilterns storm shield is very much holding, like most years!

When you’ve been baking in the capital for weeks on end, poor show really we did see some much needed rain still have puddles and rain fell hours ago, humidity I assume limiting evaporation.
Can fully understand this. We had a couple of, what can best be described as showers this evening and that was it. Yet again, baked for weeks but the Chilterns Storm Shield held fast and sweet FA occurred
On the plus side, it does now feel cooler outside and I’m looking forward to proper rain on Sunday (fingers crossed)!

Looks like most of central England will miss out later and here in west London last night and this morning was our best chance..
As is the norm

At this stage I'd just be happy of some rain ....... T-Storms would be a bonus but rain would be fine as it has been weeks.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the Chilterns Storm Barrier

So was this storm Emma or is storm Emma the system forming up to hit the SW later today?
I believe that "Emma" is still heading NNE from NW France
