  1. As long as you chuck the Daily Express on the fire as well
  2. Been out for a short while and warm, sunny and pretty sticky here this morning! It's the local school fair today (not fayre as discussed here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/9390015/Oliver-Pritchett-Its-fair-not-fayre.html) so I'm hoping for a fairly dry day. It'd be nice to have a âš¡ to clear the air but without rain, is that even possible?
  3. Wow, awake again. Biggest t-storm yet just passing overhead!! No storms this year and now 3 spread over several hours :-D
  4. Chucking it down again, thought it had all cleared. Now further flashes and rumbles to my W-NW!
  5. I've had some show here with a few close ones. However those to the W-SW of me, I guess Reading way are getting it really good (or bad)! Of course as I type this a massive flash and immediate thunder ensues :-)
  6. The lightning detectors are not showing any of this light show to my West and a few very close strikes! Wow!!!
  7. Well, this is some show and horizontal lightning is rather strange!
  8. Wish i'd not have had beer now, would be good to get to higher ground. Heavy rain now and frequent flashes/rumbles to the W of Marlow
  9. Oooooo, a few flashes to the W-N-W of Marlow now, could the Chiltern Hills Shield be caught unaware!!
  10. Well, stuck indoors most of the day. No t&l and just a few bursts of rain in Beaconsfield. Yawn!
  11. Wow ...... what a wonderful day, this is more like it. Not sure if it is an official recording but RAF Northolt has reached 20oC today. More of the same please, bring on the clock change as well I have to wonder as well, those few that stuck their necks out several weeks, even months ago and said winter was over and a non-event; would they be entitled to an apology from the snow lovers whom shot them down?
  12. I managed to throw a snowball in Sweden last week and there is a reasonable covering in Norway at the moment but as the locals in both countries say ........ it's been a warm winter for them also!
  13. Longer days, stronger sun and some lovely warmth would be very welcome. We've endured a very long Autumn and it is about time for some lovely Spring happiness ..... perhaps starting mid-late Feb and lasting until June/July when Summer proper kicks in Bring me sunshine ..... da da da
  14. Bedside lamp keeps giving the odd flicker ...... will it or won't it
  15. Hmmmm, just had a gust that dumped the veg trug cover across the patio and broke up the $ky signal! Not happened before.
  16. This was the scene in Amersham, Bucks this morning ....... shame it wasn't drier and a degree or two colder :-) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102564685/CAM00130.mp4 >mark
  17. Whats happened here (or not) then?! Not really been following recently but remember a buzz earlier about the expanse of early snow coverage?
  18. Given the size, shape and geographical location of the UK any forecast more than t +6hrs can be pretty "out"! Just look at his week, we were predicted biblical rain until about 2 hours out when it all split W & E. What will be, will be. Damn if the computers could work out the weather in advance then why not predict the lotto numbers ....... would be better odds!
  19. Have a guess what is happening here in the tropics of Bucks!!!
