  1. Rained for a few minutes earlier, now dry and overcast ...... yawn
  2. Why is it that any "events" that come up from the south seem to split and in the main avoid or brush N Berks/Bucks area? This exact same pattern was observed a few times over the winter when snow was incoming and we ended up with very little snow.
  3. Just been outside to put out the hedgehog food ..... it's around 15oC, very pleasant
  4. Lovely and now getting to the time of year for wonderful low sun images like these
  5. I'm a new member, although we did get some rain in Amersham today for a short while! Don't get me wrong, I like where I live but I'm sick and tired of the lack of storms and the laughable snow we get (or not) in this area! I'm now getting very weary of heat and humidity in the SE without storms to clear the air!
  6. Just looked out and it looks to me, could be wrong; that the cloud/wind direction is coming from the S-SE now. Anyone confirm? Could that we good for our area if anything pops across the channel?
  7. The "in-laws" were up and down all night with their alarm being set off in Buntingford last night, they said the storms were pretty full on! Quite ery when street lights go out as well!
  8. We had some rain in Amersham whilst I was in a meeting between 11-12 ...... not sure that counts towards much of the excitement elsewhere!
  9. I have to say ...... last night was a real let-down for our area also. I saw "towers" rising to my W-SW at around 1900 and this was the start of the cells towards Oxon. Then it all went N-NE and missed this area entirely. It was soooooo hot and humid. Then overnight I see that those in the E, W, N of this area struck lucky. We had, wait for it; three flashes/rumbles at 0350 and no rain ..... urgh! Not so sure we are due anything today either in this "weather-event-less" part of the world. Ho-hum ....... as long as it gets a little cooler and the humidity "does one" :-)
  10. 3 flashes and bangs at around 0350 and no rain ........ Welcome to South Bucks, the home of no weather events ;-)
  11. Urgh ...... hot and very humid. Those towering clouds that i had to the W-SW have gone!
  12. And I thought we were fairly close to W London, nothing doing here in HWY/Marlow, Bucks :-O
  13. For those that got "hit" yesterday, well done and enjoy it ...... However as much as I like the snow, love taking my little one sledging and have a 4x4, I now yearn for days like that of last Tuesday. 17oC, blue sky and sunny ..... that'll do me just fine :-)
  14. Nowt in Buckinghamshire again, guess it will stay this way ....... bl**dy cold tho!
  15. A few small flakes floating about, a few bottles of Brains SA and England ready to start ....... Perfect Sunday afternoon
