  1. Thats what it was showing last night ...it is now showing similar to yours Hopefully it will change back
  2. Forecast from Accuweather looks interesting! No snow but nice and cold!
  3. Happy wintertime everyone! Had a few sleet showers this afternoon, a couple of them briefly turned to snow as they got heavy! Looking forward to this winter
  4. The colour gradients they use on that chart seem ridiculous, they use the same tones four times twice in negative and twice in positive! Its way open to misinterpretation!
  5. Hi Allseasons, I use Screen hunter for my screen captures http://www.wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter_free.htm
  6. From as far back as I can remember(i am now 36) my first white Christmas was 2005 with snow falling and lying snow, the same for Christmas 2009 and 2010. Last year there was heavy snow falling on Christmas eve early hours to the afternoon but the temps where not cold enough, by Christmas day there was only patches of snow left except on higher ground where we visited my inlaws! It was a cold crisp Christmas day with a severe frost that night! Against the odds Christmas 2013 was still a memorable one for me hopefully this year can be one for all of us!
  7. Happy st. Paddy's day! Could be warmer but not too bad;)
  8. At work in Dublin, there has been a couple of sleet/snow showers! My wife sent me pictures of the snow at home in Longford!
  9. I would recommened Rain alarm. It has lots of settings and comes in very handy. I use the pro version but here is a link to the free one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mdiener.rain.usa
  10. Went to the mother inlaw's for breakfast this morning as we do every year. They live approx 15km from us and at a similar altitude, near Drumlish, there was some lying snow at there house and in the surrounding hills ...so I guess that counts as a white Christmas
  11. Happy Christmas! Hope you all have a good one!
  12. This December we have had two days of lying snow here! I hope we get more!
  13. I seen a few aswell! One of them was very large and bright it had a long trail and turned bluey just before it disappeared!
  14. Looks like Accuweather are trying to cover every possibility for Christmas day
  15. Paul, nice to see NW go responsive, looks great The only thing I can see is that when you use the "view new content" link it brings up the list of recently active threads. It would make more sense that if you click on one of these threads that it should bring you to the first unread post instead of the thread starter.
  16. Yeh its horrible... As well as been a very dull day it has gotten damp and drizzely here since 4pm, not nice to walk the dogs in.
  17. Kimmirut is almost completely frozen over today. Only yesterday it was open water, there were strong winds and the sea was choppy, it must have frozen over fairly quickly after the wind died as it was -21c. Kimmirut Weather, Kimmirut Webcam
  18. It was 6c when I was leaving work in Dublin @ 5pm the weather app on my phone said it was 2c in Longford, I thought that had to be wrong... when I got home it was only 2c and there was already frost on the grass and cars! It is now 0c.
  19. We have had a couple of snow showers in the past hour they were short lived though. Just starting to snow again
  20. On Rain Today Premium it is showing some red pixels(snow) over the mountains of Donegal!
  21. According to Accuweather it is going to get colder for a time mid-month!
  22. Bitterly cold today especially in the showers. Last night I brought the dogs for a walk at 12am and there was a good crisp grass frost and ice on the cars! I am looking forward to this winter, following the threads on NW there seems to be just as much going for a cold winter as against ...exciting times ahead
