This will be primarily, but not exclusively, over the higher ground where 2 to 6 cm may accumulate, although parts of the warning area may escape. At lower elevations, a slushy cover of up to a centimetre or so is possible. Please be aware of the potential for some difficult driving conditions overnight and into the Wednesday morning rush hour. The active frontal system which brings rain on Tuesday will increasingly come into contact with colder air, with the likelihood that it will start to turn to sleet or snow in places early on Wednesday. The situation is finely balanced, and the precipitation may remain as rain over parts of the area. This warning is likely to be updated.

Good Morning! It really has been a poor winter "snow" wise for us , We have about 5 -6 weeks left for it to turn around and hopefully give us something to enjoy! otherwise it will be a pretty rubbish 2015-2016 winter

Depsite the temp being 0.6C and a dewpoint of 0 the snow seems to be melting so dosen't look as pretty as last night Now we have to look at when we will get our next lot! hoping next time for alot more chance of some colder conditions developing from late January onwards http://www.wxmaps.org/pix/temp4.html

Good Morning Everyone, well what an event last night and it certainly didn't disappoint for parts of our region mine included! I kept saying days ago an right up to the event that it would shift east and it kept moving further east than it planned and BOOM! right over us!

Temp is really dropping 1.9 and still a DP of -4 Once the snow falls it will then become very very frosty indeed so that snow won't be going anywhere fast!

indeed! and they do tend to get quite abit of snow up north! So bring it on! and it's amazing his its shifted again as I thought earlier so now we need to it to stay in position and just FALL !
