    Overnight lows expected of -4 here now that is cold. Moving onto Friday and all is still looking good for Yorkshire I am hoping the MO will be releasing a yellow warning for us over the next 24 hours

    So we could see a 2010 repeat after all, I would happy with 1 foot of snow and it staying around for a few days lol is that to much to ask hopefully this weekend will deliver!!

    Yellow warnings issued for most parts of the uk on Friday except yorkshire but hoping that will change over the next few hours!

    It will be interesting to see the outcome but at the moment its all looking very good I think yesterday was sign of things to come and some forecasters did say back last year "Mid January - February" will be some of the coldest and snowiest days we have seen in a long time and the models are showing this at the moment

    I think the meoffice said the heaviest snow was due to fall around midday still plenty time, snow is south yorks is light to moderate

    It started off lightly here in barnsley at 9am but now its gone to moderate with flakes getting bigger and snow coming down faster

    still lightly snowing as the radar show it getting ever close, once here its set to stay for at least 4-5 hours of continuous snow fall in south and west yorks then moving eastwards enjoy everyone

    still very light flakes falling, looks silly why don't it just snow proper, but from what ive seen of the charts this evening tomorrow is set to be good we are in amber for snow
