  1. Dont the beeb use old data, How hard is it for us to get a North East wind, what a waste to all them snow showers out at sea.
  2. As I thought a frustrating cold spell coming up which looks to be dry as a bone for us. Even the models and met now don’t expect them fronts mentioning above to cause any issues here. Guess we just have to enjoy the frosty mornings and dry weather and who knows we might get a few pop up surprises . ️
  3. Met office and mod thread suggesting the south getting a lot of snow, only a couple of solutions bring the front this far North. A frustrating time next week I feel, we will get snow from a front that you can guarantee turns to rain after. From a selfish point of view we want that low way south so we stay in the cold air which is hopefully a North East wind, Never do well in a northerly the winds very rarely straight down bringing showers further inland.
  4. Morning Mate, I agree on the point in the mod thread, it's always been the same for as long as ive been a member. It gets so confusing reading it one min its amazing because it looks good for them and the other its winter over when in fact other places looks in a good position. Guess we just have to sit back and watch it unfold, Like I said a few days ago history tells you it mostly always gets watered down so expect nothing and hopefully be pleasantly surprised is my take on it.
  5. So as we edge closer to the cold what are people’s thoughts for this area, I think the favoured spots North York Moors will do well from the northerly, people inland like myself I feel will be a fustrating time. We might also have to sit back and watch the south get buried in snow as I doubt the front will get this far North, it’s a catch 22, we either want to stay in the colder air or get loads of snow. Either way it beats the relentless rain. Bring on hopefully lots of snow for us Northeasterners. ️
  6. The fear is real lol. We shall see, I just hope everyone has there fun with this cold spell, including little old Hartburn
  7. Hoping this will be a sign to come, get the cold in and we just never know do we. Still don’t think we will get much, would love to be proved wrong though.
  8. Think we have all learnt in the past not to get to sucked into the model output thread and endless Narnia posts, I do hope we get some good cold weather and in these set ups us on the North East cost tend to do very well. Thats if it don't all go Pete tong which history tells you it more then likely will. Once Met office start to tell us I will get excited, then disappointed when I see the southerly wind symbol over my house
  9. What a difference a day makes. Snow all but gone now and it’s hammering it down. let’s hope John Hammond is right
  10. Yea temp defiantly on the rise. Tree snow starting to melt giving the impression it’s snowing again lol, Onto the next chase.
  11. Yea mate must have been in the sweet spot for once, nice to have a few days of snow but it’s always so frustrating getting this much then next day rain. Still only early in the season so hopefully plenty more days .
  12. When I looked out the window this morning it was a winter wonder land thick snow and loads on the ground, there is still a decent amount but can only assume it rain a bit after. No complaints here though this is the best start to winter in ages!
  13. Not kidding there. Been nearly 15 hours of continue snowfall for some places! event like that don’t happen to often. Maybe the North East can get one soon Not got much hope for tonight, expect to wake up to rain,
