    Well looks like the Selby and District shield is holding out again this summer lol only had 1 sprinkling shower 3 weeks ago for 10 mins and thats it...its ruining our saturday footy teams pitch :S

    Thank you John, i'd seen the forecasts and had fully expected the SE quarter to be under the strikes it is but to see them that North too was a nice suprise

    Strange to see some strikes as far North as the Humber, are these storms moving further North then first thought or is that my wishful storm deprived minds playing tricks

    Are the storms expected today going to be home grown ones, if so are they exclusively to just the south? Also is there any rain forecast for the north, I can make do without storms if I get rain lol

    Well I tried to stay positive that the storms would kick off late on but alas they didnt so its time to give up and turn in for the night....rains here now though so not a total loss

    I have to agree I get the feeling at some point after 7pm the cap may just break and all hell will break lose and storm chasers will rejoice

    Aside from all the storm talk is there any large amounts of rain due as i'd give up a storm for torrential rain to cool things lol p.s can anyone tell me where the coldfront is at present or point me in the direction of a map showing it

    I'll second that mate 25 miles east of you, just all of a sudden had a whole change in atmosphere and feeling....also just got an all mighty headache lol

    I know people are getting disappointed but im sure we've got another 2 hrs atleast before anything really kicks off so dont give up yet everyone

    My storm risk says at 16:00 2510.5 j/kg and -7 I have 0% risk of a storm but at 19:00 734.5 j/kg and -3 I have a 71% risk of a storm...is that an error is that due to when they think the cap may break?

    Im going golfing tomorrow early afternoon in an area between where we both live so that should bring us some storms late afternoon

    Well ive been seeing dark clouds all around but not 1 drop of rain or rumble need lots of rain before my cup game Wednesday night or the pitch will be a killer lol

    I get the feeling today will be where everything looks great for storms but we miss 1 ingredient to see them unless very lucky However I do feel tomorrow and Saturday will have a much stronger chance of widespread thunderstorms across GB

    Had a go with the "Will it thunder" page for my area and got 0% till Saturday where it jumped to 52% now it'll be downgraded but last year I was sideswiped by a storm at 26% so still an outside chance (",)
