  1. I live 7 miles from bangor and its safe to say they wont get that much wind. Maybe snowdon might get that
  2. Because things like that don't happen to us. To be honest I'm thinking that there will be a calm period for east and wetter in the west with no wintry weather except for hills ie Snowdonia, Highlands, lake District. Before a more pronounced high to set up nw of the uk. Let's see if I'm right. It will be against most people's views. I just need snow and cold
  3. John Hammond on Twitter seems to be informing people that met office will update regarding cold potential soon.
  4. I think your thinking like me. I believe the high will be further nw of the UK and therefore a more nw/n/ne wind will be main source. Let's see
  5. I remember from before that they need to go into the north Pacific to affect our weather
  6. I think like others have said that there's conflicting information about the stratosphere and troposphere this year I believe. Could this be causing problems for the weather
  7. What's the chances of another slider from that low south of Greenland ed??
  8. I agree . Met office amber warning and ALL models had us in nw Wales in inches of snow. But we only had a few flakes blowing in the wind all day.
  9. I wonder how much snow we can get in nw Wales on Sunday. We never get amber warnings and it never shows heavy snow on BBC and met office apps but it's always taken from valley over in Anglesey about 30 miles from me and valley is right on the coast . We usually get colder and snowier weather than them.
  10. Most of ne Wales and mid Wales. We've missed most of the lying snow in nw Wales. Looks like we might get some snow on Sunday
  11. The proper cold won't arrive until after 10pm up here in the north
  12. To be honest for some reason BBC weather is not showing any showers on West coast which is weird. Anyone know why this keeps on happening
  13. Surely the snow accumulation map should have loads of snow cover over North Wales by 6am Friday??
  14. The cold weather and snow will come after this for low ground. But there should be more troughs afterwards. Hopefully being in nw Wales I'm in an idial spot
  15. Probably more showers than last week but we had plenty in nw Wales even from a Pembrokeshire dangler. Hopefully we will be in prime location
  16. I agree with Joe b regarding mountains holding and moving the slider's as they cross from the west that's why I think a line from northern Ireland,Wales and SW England will be furthest the slider will get to . Could be wrong but that's my guess
  17. Hope so . Living in nw Wales so hopefully we may get a lot of the white stuff. We tend to do superb during northerlies although it's all down to temps etc. What do you think boys
  18. Never mind the wind . Bloody hell the rainfalls over nw Wales today is shocking. Wonder how we get the totals in our area
  19. I would have thought that nw Wales would receive more than southern Scotland tbh we shall see. I'm thinking capel curig will have most rainfall
  20. Staggering amount of rain in the last 24 hrs here in nw Wales.. How do I find out the local rainfall that has been in last 24 hrs just to check?
