    I was wondering that too and i asked chino about this and his reply was: I don't know how accurate they are, having not really followed them. Matt Hugo has suggested that they have been unreliable. Let's hope he is right.

    Hail,sleet on lower ground and snow on the mountains of nw wales.. quite a bit of snow on snowdon.

    Some of my friends inform me of snowfall on the highest tops of snowdonia today which was a surprise... Hopefully the start of things to come during this winter...

    Cant believe that we havr bern lucky to get a superb 4 thunderstorms in 24 hrs truly amazing... And whilst at work today the car alarms were going buts.. and it looks like another on the way. Best year for storms ever. Where into double digits clearly..

    Cant believe the amount of rain that has fallen and is still falling around my area nw wales as in n england. Is there anywhere that has the actual up to date rainfall in the last 48 hrs???

    I was in barmouth earlier and it was dry andy. So i think aberystwyth should be ok. In saying that the weather here in nw wales is bad but the rain has gone a bit lighter . Wonder how much more rain is forecasted for here as the rivers are really high.

    What will hurricane gordons influence be on the models this week? I think with a feature like in the atlantic things could change with just a slight change to its path. What do u all think?

    Just wanted to know if anyone could help me with something. Why has the radar been showing heavy precipitation over anglesey for the last hour or so? And has been doing so on and off for a while lately! Anyone know why?

    Its been abolutely soaking here in caernarfon today! I think the totals for snowdonia will be in excess of the amounts recorded on here.

    Yes liam I can confirm that the snow is down to a decent level! Areas such as fron , rhosgadfan an deiniolen all affected! None for us here in caernarfon

    I too went through snowdonia on the a470 & there was snow but it was quite high! Reports coming through now that low level snow is around my location(caernarfon) so the snow line has fallen a lot! Hope it snows

    Just been to blaenau ffeatiniog where it was snowing an hour a go and then went to betws y coed(sleet) and its now sleeting at home!

    Reports of rain in betws y coed but I can see snow on the mountains of snowdonia aroind me

    Temps seem to be dropping according to met office capel curig went back down to 1.7°c at 10am.. Probs about 3°c here
