    Was in The O2 as pictures and videos of the roof giving way started to come thru on my phone. Bizarre as life was carrying on as normal inside. Eventually 90min later they closed the venue. Couldn’t see the damage as was round on the river side of the structure.

    Television forecasters have a lot to answer for. I know this is an age of sensationalist journalism but both the BBC and ITV would have you thinking the end of the world was nigh last night. As others have said the reality was somewhat more marginal but to the average viewer it would have to be declared a bust

    Nice fat blobs of welcome rain here in SE London. Luckily Im too long in the tooth to take any notice of the storm warnings. What will be will be. Just enjoying the light soaking for now

    I'll confirm it was no exaggeration! Not sure how accurate an Iphone Storm app is but it put the last strike pretty much in the neighbours garden. Certainly sounded like it. If this is my only storm of 2021 I wont complain
