  1. Someobody has turned the lights off in Blackfriars. I might get lucky after all And lightning to boot ...
  2. Was a lovely morning when I left Bexley behind at 6am. Why does work always get in the way of all the fun. Had clearly just missed something in Central London as roads soaked and that 'steamy' feel to the air but made it in dry as a bone
  3. Its happy hour :-) . Happens every day around this time. I still fancy our chances for tonight. You've only got to step outside to feel the energy in the air. Write nothing off at this early hour
  4. Who wants a daytime storm anyway? Complete waste of everyones time. Let the energy continue to build and lets wait til after dark for the spark to ignite the keg )
  5. Scrap that. Big fat balls of rain. Steamier than ever. Is this Bexley or Bali?
  6. Raining in Dartford yet 2mins away in Bexley bone dry. Sums up nicely the local nature of this event
  7. Centre of London is oppresive right now. Like walking into a hairdryer. Yes its been hot for past week or so but today is another level altogether as far as humidity is concerned. It needs to go *pop* and soon ...
  8. Clicking into this forum to see no update for 5mins tells me more than the model thread ever could. Cheers cold spell ... it was fun while it lasted
  9. Quick question ... perhaps more for the Model thread but they get stroppy in there if your not talking in what appears to be riddles ... what does FI mean? Seen it mentioned a lot. Im assuming something relating to fictional??
  10. Expected to leave my house to a tempest this morning. Instead all was calm, some moisture in the air, a muggy feel, light breeze and warmer than I was expecting. Iv'e never been in the eye of a storm before. Guess this is as close as it gets. Bring on the beast .....
  11. Storm no.2 now audible and this one looking like could be a direct hit for me. Fingers crossed
  12. Great sounding storm passing just to North of Barnehurst. Lots of high level sounding thunder. No visible lightening. Essex bound
  13. Raining on my walk through the City. How quickly we forget what that feels like. My heart says I can feel the electricity in the air for later but my head says dont get too hopeful
  14. Heavens opened in the city. Torential for 15mins now blue sky. Guess who chose the 15mins to hop step it back to office from pub
  15. Watched storm pass by I'm guessing thurrock way about 15mins ago. Lovely CG but gutted it was a near miss. Next time
  16. Indeed. Best chance for us is that view over South London on our commute home as the train heads between Kidbrooke and Eltham
  17. The missus confirms storm over home (Barnehurst). Sadly bright sunshine here in the City. Another one missed
  18. Sums up what a 'localised' day it could be today. Dry as a bone here in Blackfriars.
