Just been doing some digging regarding the cold spell across Europe and it's having some big reprecussions..
Brent Crude Oil has shot up to over $116 a barrel over the last few days. OK this is partly due to the Iran stuff going on but part of it is due to increased demand due to the cold weather.
So unless it falls back in the next few days the cost of our petrol & diesel will go up yet again. We'll be seeing £1.50 a litre diesel before much longer. And for those who dont drive dont think it wont affect you. Diesel is used in the lorries that transport food to supermarkets. Diesel goes up , food goes up.
Also if we have another snowy UK spell it could make things even worse..
Maybe it's time to start hoping for an early spring.. lol
