I have to drive to work as i live about 10 miles away. When i get there i have to get in a van and go out and do deliveries. So for me it's not just a case of getting to work. Driving IS my work. The snow can stay in the arctic where it belongs in my opinion I think a lot of people are fed up of these cold winters now though and do make an effort to clear roads and paths. In Feb this year it was all cleared pretty quickly. Even country lanes. Grit is useless while it's snowing. It only starts to work once the snow has stopped. In Spring & Summer my job is the best in the world. Autumn & Winter it's awful

Right slap in the middle of 2 cells here. Very dark , muggy and still. Not even raining. So frustrating !!!!!!

My back garden is showing 27c here and my mates weather station down the road is at 28c. Dew point currently 17c. Still not feeling all that confident though

I dont care what the weather does this weekend as i'm working Hopefully it's not too bad for the lucky ones who have the weekend off

Not saying it does. Everyone whinges when it's warm in Winter when it's meant to be cold , so why should we all want cold when it's meant to be warm?? I'll say the same as Anthony. How anyone can want this cold spell after the past few weeks is beyond me totally.

I cant see why anybody would want cold & snow now either. It's has 3 months of Winter to be cold. Spring should be all about warming up and having days like today and the last 2 weeks.

Just been doing some digging regarding the cold spell across Europe and it's having some big reprecussions.. Brent Crude Oil has shot up to over $116 a barrel over the last few days. OK this is partly due to the Iran stuff going on but part of it is due to increased demand due to the cold weather. So unless it falls back in the next few days the cost of our petrol & diesel will go up yet again. We'll be seeing £1.50 a litre diesel before much longer. And for those who dont drive dont think it wont affect you. Diesel is used in the lorries that transport food to supermarkets. Diesel goes up , food goes up. Also if we have another snowy UK spell it could make things even worse.. Maybe it's time to start hoping for an early spring.. lol

Hopefully there will be plenty of pictures of it melting ready for work on Monday
