  1. Getting to more worrying levels of rain locally. 38.4mm yesterday but already 17mm here since midnight. Flood warnings on the River Roch through the town centre and in Littleborough. Hopefully river levels stay down as the last thing covid closed businesses need is the cost flooding brings. There's also a substation next to Rochdale 6th form college flooded in the Boxing Day floods that knocked out power to this side of town for 36 hours. Don't need that right now.

  2. Great to see so many folk have had some very good snow events and snow cover. For whatever reason in this little corner of the world it has been poor. It has been cold but out of 7 or 8 regional events we've got something out of 1 or 2 at best. Certainly not had more than 5mm of snow cover. It says something when this current tiny shower, which is giving a covering, is a highlight of the past 12 days or so. Hopefully see some more in the coming weeks.
